(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts (DPA) will arrive and tour Taiwan from February 20 to March 22, 2009. The DPA will make stops in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan and Kaohsiung.

In 2008, the DPA toured Taiwan and gave 25 performances to 50,000 audience members. In the five days after the ticket sales started, 20,000 tickets were sold.

The China Times reported on January 12, 2009, "About fifty school principals and teachers gathered in the Taichung Culture Center and recommended the DPA's shows to the residents. The educators praised that the shows blend the essence of traditional Chinese culture and purify people's minds. They are powerful for moral education."

Last year the DPA went to Kaohsiung and gave five shows. Dance artist Lee Tseng-O wasamazed by the superb quality of the show, and so were many other artists, political figures and businessmen. One of them said that the DPA's show was the pride of all Chinese in the world.

From March 13 to 17 this year, the DPA will have seven shows in Kaohsiung. The Pingtung County Cultural Affairs Department bought 60 tickets to reward its hard-working volunteers. The chief officer of a township in Kaohsiung bought 200 tickets to treat outstanding students form three local schools. The officer said, "The Spectacular teaches loyalty and dutifulness as children. It's the best live teaching material to promote Chinese traditions. All the parents should let their children watch the Spectacular."

Former Vice President Annette Lu praised the Spectacular as being the best show during an interview with NTDTV. "Many traditional values are lost. We need activities that promote morals and ethics, respecting heaven and earth, loving people, and pursuing truthfulness, compassion and beauty."

Mayor Looks Forward to the Coming of the DPA

Tainan Mayor Hsu Tain-tsair has seen the DPA's Holiday Wonders in New York and the Chinese New Year Spectacular in Taiwan. Hsu was very impressed with the DPA, "The DPA combines art and culture and hence its shows are especially touching. The shows can inspire our experience and understanding of Chinese culture. The DPA is an art group that enhances our souls and I very much look forward to seeing its performance again."

Music Professor Praises the Show

Lin Yueh-Li, a music professor from National Taichung University, also praised the show, "The composition, instrument choices and performance of DPA's original music pieces matched flawlessly with the dances, the backdrop, and lighting and the stories."

President of the National Dance Association: "Most Beautifully Depicts Chinese Culture"

Lai Hsiu-feng, president of the National Dance Association of Taiwan, currently teaches in the Dance Department of the National Taiwan College of Physical Education. She was surprised to see the first class choreography and professional artists. She believed the DPA's dance programs have presented the best of five-thousand years of Chinese culture. "The costumes look refreshing and graceful. Everything was perfectly matched together."

Director of the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra: Every Dance and Song Has Its Deeper Meaning

Chu Hung-chang, General Director of the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra, thought the whole show made him feel delight and harmony. "There are not many ethnic dance performances in Taiwan. I am excited. Every dance and song has its deeper meaning and not just what it seems on the surface. The music and the dances were smoothly matched, very well done."
