Divine Performing Arts' Arrival in Dallas Welcomed by Many (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts (DPA) 2009 World Tour will travel to Dallas at the beginning of February and perform three shows at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, from February 2 to February 4, 2009. This will be the third year in row that DPA performs in Dallas. Many who saw the show in prior years anticipated its coming in 2009.
US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison: Greetings to the DPA 2009 World Tour
US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison sent a letter of greeting in December and commended the upcoming DPA show in Houston and Dallas. On January 24, the hosting organization received a video from Senator Hutchison, expressing her best wishes for the success of the show. In the video, the senator said she hoped that those who attend the show enjoy the richness and diversity of Chinese culture.
Texas State Representative Paula Pierson: I highly recommend this production
Texas State Representative Paula Pierson, of the ninety-third district of Texas, saw the DPA show last year and was moved by the performance. On January 19, she sent a letter of greeting to the hosting organization to welcome the coming of DPA and to recommended the show to all people.
Representative Pierson stated in her letter, "I want to take this opportunity to welcome the artists of The Divine Performing Arts World Tour back to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and congratulate them on the successes that they have had in each city across the United States.
"Everything about this production is beautiful and moving, from the dancers to the music and the costumes. The artists who perform in the Divine Performing Arts Tour are nothing short of spectacular. I highly recommend this production knowing those who attend will not leave disappointed."
Representative Pierson's office director stated, "The representative was very happy that the DPA show is coming back to Dallas. Besides writing a letter, she also issued a resolution to commend the hosting organization."
Last year, Representative Pierson and another representative also issued a resolution to commend the DPA show in Dallas.
Mayor of Addison: Don't miss the opportunity to see the DPA show
Mr. Joe Chow, Mayor of Addison, Texas, is from Taiwan. He is the only Chinese-American mayor in the US and he is an active promoter of diversity. He saw the DPA show in Dallas last year and commended it highly. He thought that the DPA show is true Chinese culture. Based on his own experience, he recommends it to everyone, "It is a wonderful show. Don't miss the opportunity to see it."
Mayor Chow issued a proclamation in appreciation of the Southern US Falun Dafa Association for its efforts in bringing the show to Texas, and believes that the DPA show will become a tradition in Dallas' Chinese New Year celebration.
On January 19, Mayor Chow greeted everyone and wished everyone a happy Chinese New Year on NTDTV. He said, "I was fortunate to see the DPA show. It is an outstanding and wonderful show. It represents our traditional Chinese culture. It is beautiful - from the music, dancing, and costumes, to the backdrops. I sincerely hope that no one misses this great opportunity to see the show. As Mayor of Addison, one of my goals is to promote cultural diversity. The DPA show is a wonderful opportunity to experience cultural diversity. I wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year!"
Mayor Chow came from Taiwan to study in the US in 1979. He obtained an MBA degree. In 2002, he was elected to the City Council. He was elected Mayor of Addison in 2005.
