(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Donghai, 51, lived in Qingyuan County, Hebei Province. He went to Beijing to clarify the truth soon after the persecution began on July 20, 1999, but was detained in the Qingyuan County CCP School and forced to hold a bottle or stool up under the baking sun while guards slapped him. Official extorted 600 yuan from him without giving him a receipt.
In 2001, he went to Beijing to protest the persecution. He was reported, arrested, and detained in the Qingyuan County Detention Center for 25 days. He became very weak, and officials extorted more than 10,000 yuan from him.
One night in the summer of 2003, he was reading a Falun Dafa book at home when Cui Guoqiang, Wang Baoguang, and Zhang Jianwei from the Beiwangli Township government climbed over the wall outside his home to enter his room from the windows. They took his book away and searched his home. They then took him to the local police station and extorted 1,000 yuan from him.
In July 2006, someone reported Mr. Wang for watching a truth-clarifying DVD. The police arrested him and extorted 5,500 yuan from him. They whipped him with a twisted wire whip, resulting in bruises all over his thigh; he was unable to stand.
At around 10 p.m. one night in October 2006, Si Tianhu from the township government led a group of people to storm into Mr. Wang's house. They took his MP3 player, then took him to the township government office, extorting 2,000 yuan from him.
Before the CCP's 17th Congressional Meeting in 2007, the village's CCP Secretary led two township officials to Mr. Wang's home to force him to sign his name to guarantee that he would not go out of town; otherwise they would take him to be imprisoned in a brainwashing center.
On July 14, 2008, agents from the Qingyuan County 610 Office, Si Tianhu and Wang Baoguang, harassed Mr. Wang at his home again and attempted to force him to sign his name to stop practicing Falun Gong. They took his personal ID and threatened to take him to the county brainwashing center.
At around 4 p.m. one day in January 2009, Si Tianhu and another township official harassed Mr. Wang at his home again and forced him to answer questions so he would stop practicing; they forced his daughter to do the whole process for him.
The repeated harassment caused Mr. Wang Donghai to become very anxious. He died at 4 p.m. on January 25, 2009.
