(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts (DPA) performed at The John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on February 11, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. It was the second of six shows staged by DPA and The Divine Performing Arts Orchestra. Those in attendance were treated to a very special evening of artistic delight.

Physicist and Inventor: "A feeling of goodness permeated the whole show"

Brian Rennex is a physicist, inventor, an Argentine Tango dance teacher, and a show performer.

"Really remarkable! The costumes are just incredible. The group choreography was just so beautiful and also a feeling of goodness permeated the whole show," he said excitedly.

He thought it was very interesting that some of the dances depicted "people being tortured in China."

He told the reporter that he has worked his whole life to help poor people and he discovered, "Although we all want to be good, the real world is very harsh. And even if it is harsh, when people are nice to each other, not only can they survive, but they can also enjoy their life."

Mr. Rennex really appreciated the way DPA was able to masterfully bridge the China of today and the China of ancient times. "I think it is a very nice tie-in... what they're doing in China now with what has been going on in China for the last 5,000 years. Very nice to see the connection."

Knowing that the Chinese Communist Party destroyed Chinese traditional culture during the "Great Cultural Revolution," he said, "I can almost guess what has been going on for the last fifty years in China."

He continued, "The true Chinese culture and tradition is something that goes way back to the very earliest times and there should be a continuity to that culture. That's what the DPA is doing!"

Mr. Rennex thought the show had a spiritual element to it, saying, "It's spiritual but it's combining spirituality with beauty and they go together very nicely."

He also had a deep appreciation for all the hard work that went into producing this world-class show. "And the dancers have trained so hard. Obviously they have very good directors or coaches, or choreographers. I mean quality is something that is really nice to see, and if you combine it with spirituality, then it's that much nicer," he said.

Retired Aviation Specialist: "China is rich in culture and that should be brought to the attention of China's leaders"

John Olman, a retired Federal Aviation Administration personnel specialist, attended the show with his wife, Susan Peyone, a retired seventh-grade physical education and health teacher.

After seeing the traditional Chinese values displayed in the show, Mr. Olman wondered why the Chinese Communist Party refuses to promote China's 5,000-year-old history.

"You see, China is unique in that for thousands of years they have a history and culture like no other country, literally. It's really nice that we can be exposed to that. It is very, very enhancing. It's too bad that the Chinese leaders don't promote the Chinese culture more.

"Instead they want to dominant others--that type of thing. China is rich in culture and that should be brought to the attention of China's leaders. I don't know why they don't feature their own culture. We could all profit from that," he said.

Ms. Peyone told the reporter that the thing that most impressed her about the show was the dance movements. "They were so exact--and all the intricate movements--they were all very exact and that just made it so clear, and they made it look so easy," she said.

She also loved the show's bright and stunning colors, saying, "Very colorful, very colorful. Such fluid movements, too. It was just a gorgeous spectacle!"

Ms. Peyone said that she learned something about traditional Chinese values from the show, but was "totally unaware of Dafa and the whole spiritual portion of it."
