(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts (DPA) brought its Chinese New Year Splendor to Prudential Hall in Newark, New Jersey on January 26, 2009. Audience members were taken in by the sheer scale and beauty of the show, some of them calling it "awesome."

"The Show Is Very Graceful and Cultured! "

Mr. Dutta is a vice president at a large IT services firm in Newark. He attended the show with his son.

Making reference to the fact that he works in a very stressful industry, he appreciated the calm and relaxing atmosphere of the DPA performance. "Very relaxing. I liked the "Mystical Phoenix" -- the first song after the intermission. It was very good."

He said he brought his son to the show because, "Both my son and I have a passion for Chinese culture. So I have the passion and I am passing it on to him, exposing him to Chinese culture and dance."

When the reporter asked him what his overall impression of the show was, he replied, "It was very nice. It was a very, very diverse cultural show and they had a lot of color, a lot of music, and lot of dancing, so it was very nice!"

Mr. Dutta said the thing that impressed him the most about the show was just how "graceful" it was.

"The show is very graceful, and very cultured! There's a lot of good music and dance," he said.

When asked if he understood the stories behind the performances, he replied, "Yes, I did. And having the storyline there helped."

"Very Nice. Excellent Show!"

Marion, a retired United Nations radio producer, attended the show with her husband.

"My son bought us tickets as a treat. Very nice. Excellent show!" she said.

When the reporter asked her what her favorite performance was, she replied, "Oh, I can't think of any one, I like them all. Beautiful, beautiful. The costumes are beautiful!"
