(Clearwisdom.net) On Friday, January 23, 2009, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) presented its first show at The Performing Arts Center in Purchase College located in Purchase, New York. The audience highly praised the show.
"Magnificent and Timely ... You Must See This Show!"
Two distinguished guests of the DPA show were Professor Howard Newburger and his wife, Professor Doris Newburger. They both teach at the City University of New York, with Professor Howard teaching in the John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
"Magnificent and timely! The message did not escape the audience," said Dr. Howard.
"Very well planned, marvelous! What a delight it is to see China coming back on the stage, again. You must see this show!" he continued.
He described the show as being "vitalizing" and "very intelligent, very stimulating!"
When asked to comment on the conductor and director of the show, he said, "They did a wonderful job. They kept a pace that was absorbing. Top, top notch!"
Dr. Howard talked about the traditions and values that came across in the show, saying, "The traditions that were presented here have been carefully thought out. The resurgence of religion: the tenor hit that. The brutality of the Chinese police state and that Heaven is the reward [for doing good] ... that didn't escape the notice of the audience. It's a powerful message."
The reporter asked him if he and his wife would consider coming back to see the show next year, to which he replied, "I can't wait for next year to come so we can see the new version for the next year!"
Dr. Doris was also very impressed with the performances, saying, "We loved the show! We think it was just super! Thank you very, very much. Thank you!"
