(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company staged another show in the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, California on January 13, 2009. The tremendous performance won warm applause and acclaim from the audience.

Veteran journalist Cheng Kai was emotional after watching the show. He said that DPA presented the essence of China's five-thousand-year culture via dance and music, "This is a rare cultural and artistic feast."

Mr. Cheng Kai

The DPA show helps people improve and be purified spiritually

Mr. Cheng said, "I have not seen such a show for a long time. I feel great. You seem to enter another realm after watching it." He was a reporter for People's Daily and Editor-in-Chief of Hainan Daily in China. He has worked in journalism for more than forty years. He pointed out, "In such a time when money is so highly sought, lies are everywhere and people solely pursue a life of comfort, DPA presents Chinese traditional culture, our ancestors' principles for leading our lives, and a concept for a better society. It's truly refreshing and and helps people improve and be purified spiritually."

Guan Guimin's song awakens the Chinese people

Mr. Cheng is a fan of tenor Guan Guimin, and he was touched after hearing the song "Let Me Not Regret." He said that the song calls on the Chinese people not to believe lies. He pointed out, "There is a series of scandals in China like the tainted milk given to babies, and they are related to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) deceit and the overall moral degradation of the Chinese people. The reason is the CCP's party culture spreading for the last several decades, which has led to lower and lower morality in society. When it reaches a certain point, such scandals will occur. Guan sang, 'Why do you trust lies', which calls on the Chinese people to awaken. This is crucial for China. It tries to rescue the Chinese people and the country, and not let the people be deceived by the CCP continuously. I like this song very much."

"The program about Falun Gong is really moving"

Mr. Cheng said that he was touched by the program about Falun Gong. He felt it was very real, even though it doesn't fully reflect the full extent of the persecution. He said, "Of course, what happens in real life is different from art. You cannot show the bloody scenes on stage. But I felt it presents the real situation in China."

Mr. Cheng said, "Falun Gong practitioners in China have been persecuted for nearly ten years. Chinese people might think after watching such a show, 'Can the Falun Gong practitioners' spiritual belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance be suppressed by violence? Can the CCP continue to cover this up?' I think that what the CCP is doing will be in vain."

Mr. Cheng said that he enjoyed many programs in the show, especially 'Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain'. He said, "In terms of technical skill, I think the Tibetan dance was truly professional. Those male dancers performed very well."

Mr. Cheng thought that the DPA show can help the Chinese people see the extent of the CCP's damage to Chinese traditional culture and its persecution of Falun Gong and other dissidents. He said, "Such a show can help Westerners understand and be surprised by such beautiful Chinese art and profound legends. They will be touched by the profound substance of Chinese traditional culture."
