Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Huang Liang Died in His "Death Post"

Huang Liang once was the chief prosecutor in the Prosecution Department of Luojiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. Then he was appointed the secretary of the Political and Law Committee of Luojiang County, taking the place of Zhang Bengying, the former secretary, who suddenly died of karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong. In his new position, Huang continued to commit crimes against Falun Gong. Later, Huang was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Luojiang County.

In 2005, Huang was diagnosed with lung cancer. After suffering from the disease for three years, he died on February 17, 2008, at the age of 45. His death further confirmed the belief that those who persecute Falun Gong directly are risking their life in a "death post."

We hope that all people doing this kind of job without understanding the truth about Falun Gong, and others still persecuting Falun Gong, will wake up, stop their crimes, and compensate for their wrongdoings. Only in this way can they escape karmic retribution. We genuinely hope that all people will have a nice future.

Fengchan Street, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, Police Station Deputy Chief Operated on Twice for a Brain Tumor, Had to Take Early Retirement

Chang Jiping, male, more than 50 years old, was the deputy head of the police station on Fengchan Street, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. He once was an official in the propaganda section of the police department of Zhengzhou City. When he held this post, he actively persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. His accomplices included the labor camps of Zhengzhou City, the police department of the city, the 610 Office of the Jingshui Police Station, the department of national security, street offices, and building companies in charge of residential areas.

Chang developed a a brain tumor. He had an operation to remove it, but the tumor grew back, for which he had a second operation to remove it in a hospital in Zhengzhou City. He left the hospital on September 29, 2007. Now he has had to take early retirement and stay at home recovering.

Chang arrested a female Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing and took her to Wanqingshanzhuang Brainwashing Center, where she was persecuted for a year. Later he transferred her from the brainwashing center to a vacant dormitory on the same street as the Fengchan Street Police Station, where she was held secretly for 11 days. He then transferred her to Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp. Because of the brutal treatment, the practitioner was in such critical physical condition that her family members were allowed to take her home, but Chang continued his persecution of the practitioner. Along with his accomplices, he installed infra-red monitors around her home to monitor her 24 hours a day. He also installed taping devices on the window of her home and arranged for some officials from the Fengchan Street street office to watch her closely and prevent her from leaving her home. In this way, he confined her to her home for four years and four months. In July 2003 he shadowed and arrested a practitioner who came to visit her at home.

This practitioner has two children: one is a student and the other is a businessman. They were also shadowed by Chang from 2003 to 2005. In a population survey in 2001, he refused to grant them resident permits. Their personal letters were also censored as they noticed when they received letters and packages addressed to them that had already been opened. Plainclothes and local police often went to where they worked to intimidate them. Even worse, they sometimes pried open the door of their work room and ransacked everything. They also monitored their places of employment and their computers through the Internet utilizing the Internet police.

Many Falun Gong practitioners had clarified the truth about Falun Gong to him and asked his relatives to tell him that he could receive serious karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong, but Chang just did not understand this.

Bing Xingjun, an Official in Songyuan City, Jilin Province, Arrested

Bing Xingjun, about 40 years old, was the former director of the security section of the Communist Party Committee of Tailimai Village, Wulantuga Town, Qianguo County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. Ever since July 20, 1999, he has closely followed Jiang's regime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners cruelly. He sent two practitioners to labor camps and ordered police to break into and ransack the homes of practitioners. All this led to great mental pressure and economic losses for practitioners and their family members.

In July 2007, in an election, Bing competed against his brother for the position of director of the village. To win the election, he hired someone to beat his brother and his brother's arm was broken. The person Bing hired was later arrested when he fought with others in another city and confessed everything, for which Bing was arrested and held in the Songyuan City Detention Center.
