This article reports on the persecution suffered by 10 practitioners during police detention and 23 practitioners arrested in 12 provinces and 22 cities or counties.
1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Kai Arrested
Mr. Zhang Kai is in his junior year at Qingdao University of Science and Technology. At the end of April 2007, he was arrested by the Sifang District Police Department of Qingdao City. He has been detained in the Qingdao City's Second Detention Center for five months.
2. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Shi Baosheng Forced to Flee Home to Avoid Further Persecution
Mr. Shi Baosheng from Dayushubao Town, Yi County, Liaoning Province has been harassed by the police from the Yi County National Security Team three times since August 2007. His home was ransacked and his family was arrested. Shi Baosheng has fled home to avoid further persecution.

3. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Sun Yueming and Mr. Jiang Derong Tortured
On September 7, 2007, Mr. Sun Yueming and Mr. Jiang Derong, who are being held in the Daqing Prison, refused to wear prison uniforms and to call out their prison numbers, as demanded by the authorities. The prison guards dragged them out of their cells and beat them with rubber batons for over half an hour.
4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Suzhi from Tiexi District of Anshan City Arrested by Nanhua Police Station on September 11, 2007
5. [Beijing] Ms. Ji Fengqin and Ms. Zhang Xiuling Arrested
On September 13, 2007, Ms. Ji Fengqin and Ms. Zhang Xiuling from Qianjiadian Town, Yanqing County, Beijing were arrested by the police from the Qianjiadian Town Police Station and the Yanqing County National Security Team.
6. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Qin Lianyu and Several Others Arrested
On August 30, 2007, Ms. Qin Lianyu, Ms. Qin Hehua, Ms. Hong Jiejing, Ms. Ying Guofang and Ms. Cai Xiping from Ningbo City were arrested and detained in the local detention center.
7. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Additional Information on Mr. Wu Xianjun's Arrest
On the afternoon of August 25, 2007, a group of people led by Huang Yongfa, director of the Public Security Division of the Water Factory, broke into Mr. Wu Xianjun's home. They ransacked his home, confiscated his computer and arrested Wu Xianjun. Currently, Wu Xianjun is being detained at the Shiyan City's First Detention Center. His wife was forced to flee home to avoid persecution. Four other practitioners who were arrested at the same time as Wu Xianjun have all been released and are back home.
8. [Lengshuijiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoling, Mr. Liu Zhengguang, and Ms. Duan Ying Arrested
In early September 2007, Ms. Liu Xiaoling, Mr. Liu Zhengguang and Ms. Duan Ying from Lengshuijiang City, Hunan Province were reported to the local authorities while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. They were arrested by the police from the National Security Team of the Lengshuijiang City Police Department and are currently being detained in the Lengshuijiang City Detention Center.
9. [Beijing] Ms. Zheng Yufang Arrested
On the morning of September 4, 2007, Ms. Zheng Yufang from Gaoling Town, Miyun County, Beijing was reported to, and arrested by the local authorities while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in Sihe Village.
10. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fu Bi'e and Ms. Hu Ling Arrested
On the morning of September 11, 2007, Ms. Fu Bi'e and Ms. Hu Ling from Huitong County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province were reported to the local authorities while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at the local farm product trade market. They were arrested by the local 610 Office and are currently being held at the local detention center.
11. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Shanshan, Mr. Han Xingrong and Ms. Mao Shuhua Arrested on September 5, Whereabouts Currently Unknown
12. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Falun Gong Material Production Sites in Wangcun Town of Zhoucun District Sabotaged, Many Arrested
From the evening of September 12 to noon on September 13, 2007, the Zhoucun District 610 Office raided three material production sites in Wangcun Town of Zhoucun District. All equipment and materials were confiscated and many practitioners arrested.
13. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hu Zhiming Tortured to the Verge of Death
Mr. Hu Zhiming, air force major from Dandong City, is being detained in the Jinzhou City Prison, Liaoning Province. He has been on a hunger strike for over 10 months and is currently undergoing force-feeding in the Jinzhou City Prison Hospital. He is not able to walk on his own and has been tortured to the verge of death.
14. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Xiuyu Tortured in Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp
15. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Shelian Sentenced to Forced Labor
Around noon on July 21, 2007, Ms. Li Shelian was arrested by the Xinglongtai Police Department Branch. On August 15, the Panjin City Police Department sentenced her to three years of forced labor and sent her to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
16. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Xingcai, 58, from Yanji Development District Arrested at Home on September 13 by Five Policemen from Yanji City National Security Team
17. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Persecution of Ms. Zhang Lirong
In 2000, the Tonghua City Railraod Bureau's Politics and Law Committee arrested Ms. Zhang Lirong and forced her to undergo brainwashing sessions held in the Wenquan Rehabilitation Hospital.
In 2003, the Tonghua City Railraod Bureau's Politics and Law Committee use falsified excuses to forcibly send Zhang Lirong to the Fushun City Law Enforcement Education Base for further persecution and extorted 3,500 yuan from her work unit.
In 2005, police from the Tonghua City's Laozhan Police Station ransacked Zhang Lirong's home, arrested her and sentenced her to one and a half years of forced labor in the Changliu Detention Center. She was later released on bail for medical treatment.
18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Jinling Arrested
On the morning of September 3, police from the Sanshilipu Police Station broke into Mr. Chen Jinling's home, arrested him, ransacked his home, confiscated his Falun Gong books and related materials, confiscated his bank deposit of 190,000 yuan, 20,000 yuan in cash, a motorcycle and other home appliances worth 60,000 yuan.

19. [Beijing] Mr. Yang Jinlan Arrested
On the afternoon of September 12, 2007, Mr. Yang Jinlan and another practitioner were reported to the local authorities and arrested by the Renhe Police Station and the Shunyi District National Security Team. Their homes were ransacked.
20 [Huairen County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Min from Huairen County Arrested by Shuozhou City National Security Team in Shanxi Province at 5 a.m. on September 12, 2007
21. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Yuan Jianye Arrested
Mr. Yuan Jianye from Jinshui District of Zhengzhou City is employed at the Henan Province Electronic Education School. On August 16, 2007, he was arrested at his work unit by two policemen. His current whereabouts are unknown.
22. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Shen Yuanhui Tortured
After Ms. Shen Yuanhui was sentenced to forced labor, her family's multiple requests for visitation have been denied by the authorities. Currently, she is extremely weak and her body is merely skin and bones. Yet the guards have assigned several inmates, who are indicted with either pornographic conduct, gambling or drug abuse, to continue to watch and torture her.
23. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Yunxia Arrested by Huangshi City Police on September 10, 2007
24. [Beijing] Mr. Bai Wenzhong Arrested
On the morning of September 13, 2007, the Yanqing County Agriculture Bank contacted Mr. Bai Wenzhong and asked him to report to the bank, which is Mr. Bai's work unit. Once he arrived there the policemen from the local police department's national security team arrested him. They also took away his keys and went to his home to confiscate all his Falun Gong books.
25. [Beijing] Mr. Shi Yingji Transferred to Daxing County Prison of Beijing on September 13, 2007 for More Severe Persecution
26. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Associate Professor Ding Zeyang of Sichuan University Arrested at Home
On September 13, 2007, Mr. Ding Zeyang, associate professor at Sichuan University, was arrested at home by the police from the Jinjiang Street Police Station of Wuhou District, Chengdu City, together with the local National Security Bureau. His home was ransacked and his computer confiscated. Ding Zeyang is currently being detained in the Jinjiang Street Police Station of Wuhou District.
27. [Longhua County, Hebei Province] Mr. Hao Fengyi's Home Ransacked
On September 5, 2007, the policemen from the national security team of the Longhua County Police Department came to Mr. Hao Fengyi's home, confiscated his Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong's Teacher, and a satellite TV receiver dish and its installation equipment. Hao Fengyi was forced to flee home to avoid persecution.
