Today's report relates persecution incidents that involve 26 cities or counties in 14 provinces. Eleven practitioners were subjected to maltreatment during detention, and 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liang Huiying and Ms. Yu Liuqiong were arrested on September 3, 2007 while distributing Falun Gong truth materials. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Bayi Mafang Factory Police Station head Du Yu and personnel from the city's 610 Office broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Luo Laiyang's sister in mid August 2007. They attempted to arrest Ms. Luo, who lives in exile now.

Practitioner Ms. Rui Shufang, 55, from the Dewai Area in the Xicheng District of Beijing, was arrested in Beijing's Chaoyang District on August 21, 2007. She is presently being held at the Chaoyang District Detention Center.

Four practitioners, including Mr. Ma Zhanlong, were arrested in the junction area between Harbin City and Acheng City on August 30, 2007.

Personnel from the Shiyan City 610 Office and from the Maojian Police Department arrested practitioner Ms. Li Yuanzhen on the afternoon of March 8, 2007. They ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer and some Dafa books. Ms. Li was put into the city's No. 1 Detention Center, and sentenced to four years in prison in late August 2007. She is presently being held at the Wuhan City Women's Prison

Eight officers from the Gulin County National Security Division and from the "610 Office" broke into practitioners Ms. Chen Yiping and Ms. Xiong Mingzhe's homes and ransacked the places the morning of July 11, 2007. They confiscated some Dafa books, Falun Gong truth materials, an MP3 player, a radio and a cellular phone. They put Ms. Xiong into the local police station. Ms. Chen chose to live in exile after the home-search.

Personnel from the Laozhan Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Zhou Hong and Ms. Wang Qingyan and put them into the Tonghua City's Changliu Detention Center the afternoon of September 2, 2007.

Personnel from the Daqing City National Security Division arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Ying, a doctor at People's Hospital in that city, on the morning of August 22, 2007. They tied Ms. Liu to a metal chair and force fed her orally and through the nose with mustard oil, using a syringe (this oil is highly toxic to most individuals). They also brutally beat her. Ms. Liu was deprived of sleep day and night.

Personnel from the Heilinpu Police Station in Kunming City arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Zejin on the afternoon of September 3, 2007. They put him into the Wuhua Detention Center on September 4, 2007.

Personnel from the Henanding Town Police Station in Quzhou County arrested practitioner Ms. Yang Aimin and put him into the county's detention center early on the morning of September 2, 2007.

Officer Gong Chuanxing and others from the Aohanqi National Security Division in Chifeng City arrested practitioner Mr. Wei Jianxin from Xinhui Town in Aohanqi, Chifeng City on August 3, 2007. They sentenced him to two years in prison, to be served in the Aohanqi Prison.

Police arrested practitioner Mr. Zhan Mingfei, an employee of the Zhunyi City No. 106 Geology Division in Guizhou Province. They put him into the city's Liyiba Brainwashing Center on August 29, 2007. Mr. Zhan's wife was also arrested.

Personnel from the Xinglongtai Police Station and from the Qinggong Police Station in Panjin City arrested practitioner couple Mr. Liu Hongpu and Ms. Li Xiufen at their home on August 30, 2007. Both are employees of the Lujin Company at the Liaohe Oil Field. Police ransacked the place and confiscated a computer, a printer and some Dafa books.

Practitioners Ms. Zhang Hongying, Ms. Zhang Jiashuang and Ms. Lu Tao were sentenced at the county's court and put into the Longquanyi Women's Prison in Chengdu City on the morning of September 4, 2007.

Someone reported practitioner Ms. Xie Lihua from the Baixia District in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province in August 2007, when she clarified the truth about Falun Gong at the entrance to the Xiaoling Middle School. Police then followed her and ransacked her home. She is presently being held at the city's detention center.

Personnel from the Jiujiang City No. 6 Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Zhongju in mid August 2007. Ms. Wang is presently being held at the city's detention center.

Jing'an County 610 Office police arrested practitioners Ms. He Daozhen and Ms. Yu Peizhen from Jiujiang City on August 20, 2007. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Officer Ma Zongtao and others from the Junan County 610 Office arrested practitioner Ms. Cui Jian'ai in August 2005. They brutally beat her until she was covered with bruises and her cuffed hands were bleeding. Ms. Cui was later illegally sentenced and is still being held.

Practitioner Ms. Wei Chunqi from Qianxi City, Hebei Province was arrested on August 23, 2007. She is currently being held at the Detention Center in Qian'an City.

Practitioner Ms. Zhao Yingjie, 27, from Jilin City, was tortured at the Police Dog Base on Yueshan Street. Police put a metal rod on Ms. Zhao's leg and forcefully pressed it. They used wooden board with a nail to injure Ms. Zhao's genitalia. Ms. Zhao is presently being held at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.

Personnel from the Huairou County National Security Division and the 610 Office earlier had arrested practitioner Ms. Hu Shuzhen from Baizhuang Village, Huairou County, Beijing. They extorted 5,000 yuan from her and then released her. Ms. Hu was arrested again in August 2007 and sentenced to two years of forced labor.

More than 20 police officers from the Yanshan County Police Department and from the Qingyun Town Police Station arrested 41-year-old practitioner Mr. Wang Shouyun from Yanshan County, Hebei Province and put him into a detention center on the morning of August 29, 2007.

Practitioners Ms. Li Yuqin, Ms. Sun Dongqin and Ms. Wu Juan from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province were arrested on July 29, 2007 when they explained the facts about Falun Gong in Kuandian County. They were sentenced to one year of forced labor and put into the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. Ms. Li was bailed out for hospitalization due to hypertension symptoms.

Personnel from the Chengzhong Police Station in Yingcheng City arrested practitioners Mr. Tang Bixin, Ms. Hu Shuping and Ms. Fang Qiuping on September 1, 2007. The arrest happened as the practitioners clarified the truth about Falun Gong. They are presently being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Yingcheng City.

Several practitioners including Ms. Cai Xiping and the Ms. Zhang Weili couple were arrested on the morning of August 30, 2007.

Practitioners Ms. Yang Yaoqun and Ms. Dong Guixiu from Yunmeng City, Hunan Province were arrested in August 2007. They are presently being held at the county's detention center.

Practitioners distributed many brochures, including more than a thousand copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Quit the Communist Party, and The World, along with some copies of the Manual of Receiving New Tang Dynasty TV Programs with a Satellite Dish in Zhangxiutun Village, Zaoqiang County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province. The lawless officials in Hengshui City were frightened.

Police monitored the main streets and transit passengers in Zaoqiang County on September 1, 2007. They planned to harass practitioners around the county.
