Canada: Members of Parliament and the Public Urge the Prime Minister to Help Stop the CCP Persecution by Raising the Issue at the Upcoming APEC Meetings (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 29, 2007, a petition letter with the signatures of seventeen thousand Canadians was sent to the Prime Minister's Office. The letter called on Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to raise human rights issues to Chinese leaders during APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) meetings in Sydney, Australia, September 2-9. The petition urged the Prime Minister to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and to the practice of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, and for the release of all Falun Gong practitioners being imprisoned, including16 relatives of Canadian residents.

Malaysia: The Divine Land Marching Band Performs at National Day Celebration in Sabah (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) To celebrate National Day, the city government of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, held a series of activities starting at 7:00 p.m. on August 30, 2007. The Divine Land Marching Band from Taiwan, composed of 120 band members, performed four selections: "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Fa Drums and Trumpets Shake Ten Dimensions," "Fa Rectifies the Universe," and "Delivery of Treasure." The audience was greatly moved by the powerful music.

Taiwan: Falun Gong Practitioners Perform at Keelung Chungyuan Folk Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Launching candles and lamps on small, handmade model boats (water lanterns) is a unique folk custom that is honored at the "Chungyuan Festival." It has a 153-year history in Keelung City. This year the event started on the night of August 26, 2007. Vice President of Taiwan Ms. Lu Shiulian and former president of the Republicans Party Mr. Ma Yingjiu spoke at the event. There was a lively parade before launching the water lanterns. It included a decorated Falun Gong float and the Divine Land Marching Band. Thousands of spectators lined the streets to watch the several-kilometer-long parade.
