Mr. Zhao and Ms. Luo were both born in 1975. They were employees at the Najin Electric Factory in Tibet. The couple was unlawfully sentenced to two years of forced labor in 2000 for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and they were held at the Lhasa Forced Labor Camp. Later, they were taken back to the Najin Electric Factory, where they were placed under strict surveillance and deprived of their rights. Ms. Luo was pregnant and needed to go back to her hometown inland to deliver the baby. She was not allowed to leave Tibet until 2003, when she went back to her home to visit and stay with her parents.

On January 31, 2006, local police agents from the 610 Office suspected that Mr. Zhao and Ms. Luo were distributing truth-clarifying materials, so the police unlawfully searched the couple's home and took them away. The couple's family has been denied any visitation. In October 2006, Mr. Zhao and Ms. Luo each received a stiff sentence of fourteen years in prison.

Their child Zhao Leyuan is only 4 ?years old. The grandparents are too old to help raise the child. We appeal to people around the world who uphold justice to extend their help to the innocent couple and their child and help restore peace and happiness to the family of Mr. Zhao and Ms. Luo.
