(Clearwisdom.net) Since he took on his position in 2002, Chen Yiming, Director of the 610 Office in Changsha County, Hunan Province has closely followed the Jiang regime's policy to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners and has done many shameless things. This article recounts Chen's persecution of practitioners Li Xuangang, Zhang Guilin and Yan Hong.

1. The Persecution of Practitioner Li Xuangang and His Family

On June 14, 2006, Chen Yiming suspected that Mr. Li Xuangang was clarifying the facts of Dafa to people and illegally arrested him. Chen threatened his family by saying, "Li must be "transformed" and give up Dafa, otherwise he will be sentenced from five to seven years in prison. That is what the 610 Office will do to him." He ordered Mr. Li's family members to cooperate with him and report other practitioners to him. But Chen sent Mr. Li to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Chashang shortly afterwards.

On August 10, Chen Yiming, another 610 Office agent surnamed Yuan and Party secretary Shang Yuanan went to the forced labor camp and tried to "transform" Mr. Li. They stayed there for a month. They also went to Mr. Li's home and asked for reimbursement of the expenses incurred while trying to "transform" him. They forced his family to pay 15,000 yuan in four installments. When Mr. Li learned of this incident, he expressed his disapproval and also told officials in the forced labor camp about it. Yuan warned him not to say any more and threatened, "The day you are due for release is the day you will be put into the forced labor camp again."

2. The Persecution of Practitioner Zhang Guilin

Sixty-seven-year-old practitioner Mr. Zhang Guilin was formerly a political instructor in the Security Surveillance Team of the Public Security Bureau in Changsha County. He was a police officer of the first rank. In 2000 he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and was put in Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Changsha County. In order to "transform" Mr. Zhang, officials in the forced labor camp threatened him and then tempted him with promises. But not a single promise was kept after he was out of the labor camp. Officials in the Public Security Bureau ignored the county regulations and suspended Mr. Zhang's pension, making his life very difficult. With the help of other practitioners, Mr. Zhang returned to practicing Falun Gong. Chen Yiming repeatedly harassed Mr. Zhang with the excuse of applying for public assistance for him. His true intension was to threaten and tempt him and learn about other practitioner's activities. Seven years have passed. Mr. Zhang hasn't got any pension. He is destitute and homeless due to the persecution by the 610 Office.

3. The Persecution of Practitioner Yan Hong and Her Family

Ms. Yan Hong was formerly Director of the Liangli Town Residents Committee and a representative of the County People's Congress. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was persecuted several times. In 2001 she was sentenced to six years in prison and was sent to the Hunan Women's Prison. On June 17, 2007, Ms. Yan was released. In prison she didn't waver in her belief and continuously protested against the persecution. Even when she was tortured until she nearly lost her eyesight, she still played a leading role among practitioners in protesting the persecution. Before her sentence was over, Chen Yiming, along with officials from the 610 Office, went to the prison and tried to "transform" Yan Hong. He told the prison officials that they would give the prison 20,000 yuan on the condition that they didn't release Ms. Yan. But the prison authorities refused his request. Back home Chen made promises to Ms. Yan's family, including welfare benefits, jobs, and money, in an attempt to buy off her family members. He threatened and tempted them and demanded their cooperation. From June 11 to 14, one week before Ms. Yan was released, Chen led a group of police officers to break into practitioners' homes and ransack them in Liangli Town. They threatened and arrested practitioners. They arrested elderly practitioner Zou Yeda, who has since been released.

On June 17 Ms. Yan returned home. On June 20 Chen Yiming urgently arranged six spies, three for each house, to monitor Yan Hong and Zou Yeda 24 hours a day. Chen instructed them to arrest anyone "suspicious." Ms. Yan's husband has to look after elderly parents, who are in poor health, and their daughter, who is still in high school. He is unemployed at the moment and does some temporary jobs to support his family. Now that Ms. Yan is home, recovering from torture, the daily expenses for the family will be much higher. Chen doesn't dare to try to "transform" Ms. Yan personally, but continuously puts pressure on her family.

I am writing this article to let family members of practitioners and other people know that the purpose of the 610 Office is to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. No matter what methods they use, be it threats, promises of reward, or hypocrisy, their end purpose is to persecute Dafa practitioners. I hope that people can recognize the evil nature of the 610 Office and no longer be deceived by them, no longer cooperate with them, and no longer spy for them. Otherwise they will be taken advantage of by the 610 Office and bring harm to their families and themselves.
