(Clearwisdom.net) During the Chinese New Year, I clarified the truth to relatives in China, but they had been convinced by the lies broadcast by the CCP-controlled media, and just could not be approached. There was no reasoning with them. They claimed that we were "involved in politics" and refused to acknowledge the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong. The majority of my relatives were benefiting economically from the CCP, and thus did not question whatever the CCP minions broadcast. As a matter of fact they spoke in support of the instigator of the persecution. Although living in Northern America, my husband also mirrored my relatives' attitude. He mouthed the same platitudes, including that we were involved in politics. His theory was that clarifying the truth, speaking to politicians, running a newspaper and distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and so on, are all "political." I told him that practitioners' must let go of the wish to hold human power. I shared with him that our truth clarification is to stop the persecution, with no pursuit for political power. But, I could not convince him.
After Teacher published the article "Further Remarks on 'Politics,'" I felt ashamed, because I was not diligent. Why could I not see it? I always ran in circles, trying to convince others that telling the truth is not being "involved in politics." I just could not jump out of this quagmire and view it from the standpoint of the Fa. The day I read Teacher's new article, I went to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website on the computer next to my husband. I read the entire article to him, without leaving out a single word. From that day onwards he no longer said that we were "involved in politics." I again witnessed the mighty power of Dafa.
In the beginning of the persecution, one mainstream media outlet published articles that attacked Dafa. We went to see the person in charge and the writer of the articles to clarify the truth. It was difficult to make our point and move away from their degrading principles. Through studying the Fa, I was able to find Teacher's original words from the Fa, memorize them, and read these words to them with righteous thoughts in my mind. They were without words because the evil fled.
During the Los Angeles Experience Sharing Conference, I explained the truth to Chinese people. One elderly lady, who was holding the red Chinese Communist Party flag, was very ferocious. I told the truth to an elderly lady who stood next to me, and she was happy to listen to me. The other lady had a headache as soon as I spoke and did not want to let the other lady talk to me. I kindly told her: "It is not you that is ill, it is the things behind you that have fallen ill." She asked: "What things behind me?" I replied: "The bad things behind you." She said that, because of our arrival, a big bus came and blocked her from seeing the so-called parade. I told her that she should criticize the people in charge of the bus that blocked her view and not us. As a practitioner, I knew she was controlled by evil, so I sent forth righteous thoughts to help her.
I compared it to my family situation. My husband and daughter have not been willing to listen to the truth lately. My husband even refused to watch NTDTV's Chinese New Year Spectacular. After reading Teacher's new article "Disintegrate Completely All the Meddling Deities in the Three Realms that Have a Hand in Interfering with Fa-Rectification" I understood the reason. While the dark minions and rotten ghosts are being destroyed widely, the evil party is facing its downfall. These meddling deities are interfering and preventing people from knowing the truth. After I realized that, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the meddling deities.
After I came back from Los Angeles, my family situation changed greatly. My daughter actually asked me about the practice, and my husband wanted to hear all about the trip to Los Angeles. They were very happy when I told them about my opportunity to tell the truth to visitors from China. Dafa harmonizes everything and is omnipotent. Its power to eliminate the evil and destroy the chaos is beyond any challenge.
