Sweden: Human Rights Torch Arrives in Stockholm, People from All Circles Focus on China's Human Rights Violations

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 14, 2007, the Olympic Human Rights Torch arrived in the Swedish capital of Stockholm at 1:30 p.m. central European time. Since the launching of the Human Rights Torch Relay initiated by the CIPFG (Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong) on August 9, Stockholm is the 22nd city to be visited. Wherever the Human Rights Torch has been, people from all circles showed their concern about China's deplorable human rights conditions, and condemned the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

New York City: U.S. Congressman Proclaims "International Chinese Vocal Competition Celebration Day" (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 14, 2007, US Congressman Joseph Crowley from New York State proclaimed that October 15, 2007 was to be recognized as "International Chinese Vocal Competition Celebration Day," to honor the vocal competition in New York that day.

(Clearwisdom.net) The First International Chinese Vocal Competition was held on October 15-17, 2007, in Kaufmann Concert Hall, New York City. On October 17, New York State Senator Vincent Leibell issued a Citation in recognition of the First International Chinese Vocal Competition.
