On December 5, 2006, Tiefeng Court in Qiqihar City in Heilongjiang Province held a trial of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Qi Dawei, although he was in a coma. More than ten policemen were stationed at the court.

Recently, 17 practitioners were put on trial, including Mr. Liu Jingming, Mr. Li Qi, Mr. Wang Yan, Mr. Xing Yanliang, Mr. Zhao Wenshan, Ms. Yang Jing, Mr. Ci Hai, Mr. Zhang Jiqiu, Ms. Wu Ruifang, Mr. An Jingtao, Ms. Yang Chunling, Ms. Cui Xiaoping, Ms. Zheng Huachun (a practitioner from Changchun City in Jilin Province), Mr. Wu Yuanlong, and Ms. Zhang Guiqing, who has since died. The court only allowed them to answer only yes or no to questions and did not notify their relatives.

Police arrested practitioners Mr. Yang Xiankui, 63, and his wife from Zhanggechang Village in the Huairou District, Beijing, at home on November 26, 2006. The Beijing City 610 Office ordered six policemen to ransack their home. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. Mr. Yang Xiankui is imprisoned at the Huairou District Detention Center in Beijing. His wife was released.

Prior to this, the police arrested many practitioners from the Huairou District and took them to a prison, forced labor camp, detention center, or brainwashing center. Practitioner Mr. Peng Guangjun was beaten to death at Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in 2004. The following practitioners are currently detained in prison: Mr. Liu Jiyin, Mr. Liu Xiaojie, Ms. Liu Guiqin, Mr. Zhou Dedong, Ms. Li Shuqing, Mr. Zhang Pengzhi, Ms. Wen Yuhong, etc. The following practitioners are imprisoned in forced labor camps: Ms. Jiang Guiying, Mr. Wang Zhonglin, Mr. Liu Guoping, Ms. Wang Rongqin, etc. They were tortured mentally and physically.

In December 2006, the Tianjin City 610 Office assigned local police departments quotas for the arrest of practitioners. Tanggu District Police Department arrested 12 practitioners on December 19, 2006. Among them, five have returned home safely and two escaped. The remaining five practitioners--Ms. Zhang Huizhen, Mr. Ding Youling, Ms. Sun Ruihua, Ms. Wang Guiling, and Mr. Li Guimin--were detained at a detention center and released after 14 days, on January 3, 2007.

At 9 a.m. on December 20, 2006, police and staff from the Hefei City State Security Bureau in Anhui Province, the Hefei City 610 Office, and Xinghua Police Station in Hefei City went to the Jinjiqiao residential district, which is located three miles north of Hefei City. They broke into the rental apartment of practitioner Mr. Song Bin through the window and arrested him.

Practitioners Ms. Yang Aiqin and Ms. Li Fuzhi from Kaifeng City in Henan Province were arrested by police when distributing truth-clarification materials in Changhuan County in Henan Province on December 31, 2006. They are detained at the Kaifeng City Detention Center.

On December 18, 2006, practitioners Mr. Xue Yunmei, born in 1962, and Mr. Wang Xinzhu, born in 1950, both from Dongyao Town in Linzhou City, Henan Province, distributed truth-clarification materials at Xin Village, Dongyao Town. They were reported to police by some villagers. Police from the Dongyao Town Police Station went to ransack their homes and arrested them. They confiscated many truth-clarification materials. Now they are being detained as criminals.

Practitioner Mr. Yang Yudong from Mengyin County, Shandong Province, was imprisoned at the Linyi City Brainwashing Center for torture.

A truth-clarification material production center in Han Village, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, was destroyed by police. They confiscated CD burners, other materials, and equipment.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Lidi, a professor at Xianning City Medical Institute, was sentenced to a prison term. He is in Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang City, Hubei Province. Practitioners Mr. Yu Jingguang and Mr. Xu Changhong were sentenced at the same time. Mr. Yu Jingguang is in the Hubei Province Number 17 Prison and Mr. Xu Changhong in Qinduankou Prison, the Hanyang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Sifeng from the Hanyang District of Wuhan City in Hubei Province was abducted and taken to Taojialing Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City on October 27, 2006. He was taken to the Hanyang District Detention Center in Wuhan City on December 13, 2006.

Police arrested practitioners Mr. He Aiping, Mr. Huang Nuoguan, and Mr. Yang Wei from Yulin City, Guangxi Province, during December 2005. Their homes were ransacked. They were imprisoned at the Yulin City Detention Center. The Yuzhou District Court in Yulin City planned to hold an illegal trial on October 8, 2006, but were not successful. The court is still planning to put them on trial.

In the afternoon of December 23, 2006, practitioners Ms. Yang Xiuying, near 70, and Ms. Gan Yufang, both from the Hecheng District in Huaihua City in Hunan Province, went to the village market to distribute truth-clarification materials about Falun Dafa. They were arrested by a dozen policemen in plainclothes in Songtao Town, Guizhou Province. They are currently imprisoned at the Detention Center of Miao Autonomous County of Songtao, the Tongren Region, Guizhou Province.
