Around December 12, 2006, practitioner Ms. Mu Qiuxiang, about 50, from Huinan Street in Chaoyang District, Changchun City, was taken into custody. Ms. Mu has been on hunger strike protesting the persecution.

In mid-July 2006, Ms. Chi Guilian was clarifying the truth at the Biguo farmers' market when police officer Jin Guangyao (male) took her into custody. She was then taken to the Linglong Brainwashing Center in Zhaoyuan City. When her family went to visit her recently, they were told she was not listed in the brainwashing center. Despite her family's efforts in locating her, Ms. Chi Guilian's whereabouts remain unknown.

Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Ms. Chi Guilian has been arrested many times and her home unlawfully searched. Her daughter has become mentally disordered due to fear.

On August 3, 2006, Gulou District police took Ms. Lin Yunfeng, an elderly practitioner in her 70s from Nanjing City, into custody. Ms. Lin's whereabouts remain unknown.

At around 10:00 a.m. on December 3, 2006, practitioners Ms. Qu Lianying and Ms. Sun Guiying, both from Wudalianchi City, went to Xinli Village in Heping Town, Wudalianchi City, to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Villagers turned them in to the police. Li Xiaoguang (male), head of the city's No.2 Crime Investigation Team, and Liu Zhiyou (male), an officer from the Heping Town Police Station, took the two practitioners into custody. Ms. Qu and Ms. Sun are being held in the city's detention center, and they are facing forced labor terms.

Ms. Shi Xiuping, a practitioner who lives in the Yichun Residential Complex in the Shijingshan District, Beijing, was illegally arrested while the Sino-Africa summit was being held. Her husband suffers from thrombosis and cannot take care of himself.

Ms. Liu Shuxiang, a practitioner from Beitai Village in the jurisdiction of Chengguan Office, was harassed three times at her home by the Pingdu City police from May 2006 to December 20, 2006.

At around 8:00 p.m. on July 1, 2006, practitioners Mr. Zhang Jijiang and his wife, Ms. Zhang Guirong, from the Chaoyang District went to distribute truth-clarifying materials. They were taken into custody by Zhang Wang (male), an officer from the Jiuxianqiao Police Station. They were held in the Chaoyang District Detention Center for over two months. Pressured by international investigative organizations wanting to enter China to investigate, the authorities transferred Mr. Zhang and his wife to the Beijing Detention Center. Reportedly, the Chaoyang District Court is going to put the two practitioners on trial.

On the evening of November 24, 2006, Ms. Lan Yuri, a practitioner from Chengdu City, went out to distribute truth-clarifying materials. She was taken into custody by officers from the Qingyang District. Ms. Lan was taken to the Pi County Detention Center and has since been transferred to a brainwashing center.

On the evening of December 28, 2006, Zhang Fenglai (gender unknown), head of the State Security Division in the Diaobingshan City Police Department, led a group of officers to break into practitioner Mr. Li Guanghui's home. They took Mr. Li and his wife to a detention center.

Ms. Li Taoren, a practitioner from Changle Town in Miluo, a subordinate city of Yueyang City, was taken into custody while distributing truth-clarifying materials in Pingjiang. Ms. Li is being held in the Pingjiang County Detention Center.

Mr. Tan Boyu works at the Pingtang Middle School in Buyunqiao Town, Qidong County, Heng Yang City. He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998.

On December 28, 1999, officials from the town government and police station came to the school to coerce him to give up practicing Falun Gong. The officials forced him to pay a deposit of 500 yuan. The deposit was subsequently changed to a fine, and all Mr. Tan got back was a receipt.

On December 24, 2000, Mr. Tan Boyu went to the appeals office in Beijing. He was later imprisoned and not released until August 6, 2001. During this period of time, 6735 yuan was deducted from his salary for going to Beijing to appeal, and 1350 yuan was further deducted for being held in prison while someone else had to teach classes on his behalf.

Mr. Yu Shulin is a practitioner from Nanmiao Village in Yuanbaoshan Town, the Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City. On December 28, 2006, two officers from the 610 Office took him into custody. His whereabouts are unknown. Over 20 police officers subsequently showed up at his home to conduct an unlawful search.

In mid-November 2006, the Xiangfang District Police Department in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, launched secret campaigns on several different nights to arrest several practitioners near the Northeastern Agriculture University located at Dongmucai in the Xiangfang District. Some practitioners have already been sentenced to forced labor.

Practitioner Ms. Xue Yuan is held in custody at Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp. Her younger sister, Ms. Xue Jingsong, has been taken to the Sanshui Political and Judiciary School in Guangdong Province.

On the evening of May 29, 2006, members of the Nanjiang County 610 Office were all out, ransacking the homes of over a dozen practitioners. Ms. Tang Yuhua, Ms. Zhou Yunhua, Ms. Tan Junyi, and three other practitioners were taken into custody that evening. The police confiscated a large number of copies of truth-clarifying materials and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

Recently, Ms. Tang Yuhua and four other practitioners were sentenced to prison and taken to prisons in Sichuan Province. Ms. Tang, in her 60s, was sentenced to three years in prison, Ms. Yan Yuming, in her 50s, was sentenced to one year in prison, and Mr. Zhang Kunyang, in his 50s, was sentenced to two years in prison. They have been taken to Jianyang Women's Prison and Deyang Prison respectively.

On December 21, 2006, Mr. Shi Dengling, a practitioner from the Ergezhai area in Guiyang City, was taken from his home by officials from the Ergezhai Neighborhood Administration Office, officials from the Huilong Road Residential Committee, and police from the Shujiazhai Police Station. Mr. Shi has been taken to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center in Guiyang City. His family has been denied any visits.

On August 6, 2006, Mr. Shi Dengling was released with righteous thoughts after five years of brutal abuse in Duyun Prison, Guizhou Province. He remained under constant harassment and threat after returning home. On December 21, he was again taken into custody.
