Mr. Fei Chongjun, 40, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province. Mr. Fei was a teacher at Jiujiang County No.1 Middle School. In mid-October 2005, Mr. Fei clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the owner of a motorbike store. The owner notified police about Mr. Fei's activities. The police came and beat Mr. Fei to death. His wife had no income and had to return to her parents' home with her daughter who was only a few months old.

Police arrested Mr. Zhou Peihong in early September 2003 and sentenced him to three years at Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.

On the evening of September 13, 2005, guards beat Mr. Zhou and shocked him with stun batons. Both of his elbows were dislocated from the beating. The guards ignored his dislocated elbows and repeatedly twisted his arms to inflict additional pain and caused him to scream in agony. Mr. Zhou Peihong could no longer move his arms. Therefore, guards took him to Chen's bone-setting clinic for treatment. Because of the delayed treatment, Mr. Zhou's elbow joints had not fully healed after a few months. He cannot stretch one elbow and cannot fully bend the other.

Ms. Yang Shujun is a Falun Gong practitioner from Fularji District, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. In 2004, police officer Li Ruixin and many other police officers from the Fularji District Crime Police Team arrested Ms. Yang and imprisoned her in Qiqihar City No. 1 Detention Center. They cursed her and beat her repeatedly. In addition, they used various torture instruments on her, such as handcuffing and foot shackling for extended periods of time. The inhuman physical and mental tortures caused Ms. Yang Shujun to suffer a mental collapse. Fularji Precinct Court sentenced her to 12 years in prison without legal cause.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Fengmei has been illegally imprisoned in Shengyang Women's Prison's No. 10 District's No. 2 Branch since 2004. She suffered severe persecution in prison and has become critically ill. She is now imprisoned in Shenyang Prison City's General Hospital.

Mr. Ma Ming is a Falun Gong practitioner in Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province. On December 30, 2005, police from Hongqi Police Station in Hulin City arrested Mr. Ma Ming at work and sentenced him to one and a half years at Jixi City Forced Labor Camp on January 18, 2006. He is now held in the camp's No. 2 Squadron.

6. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Female Practitioner Arrested in Baoqing County

On the evening of July 10, 2006, police from Qixingpao Police Station, Baoqing County, Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province arrested a female practitioner in her 40's at her home in Jinshahe Village, Qixingpao Town, Baoqing County. The police ransacked her home and stole her computer, a printer, some computer parts and accessories, and her entire collection of Falun Gong books. She is now imprisoned in Baoqing County Detention Center.

Ms. Du Yonglan and Ms. Liu Yanmei are Falun Gong practitioners from Yinan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. Ms. Du is from Jinquangou Village, Puwang Town and Ms. Liu is from Dagou Village. On May 23, 2006, the police from Hutou Town Police Station arrested them while they were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Chengzi Village, Yingyi Road.

While they were detained in a local detention center, they received injections of an unknown drug, which caused them to become very weak. After seven days of torture in the detention center, Linyi City Forced Labor Bureau sentenced them each to three years in Shandong No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province. They are now held in the camp's No. 2 Squadron.

Ms. Zhou Liyu is a Falun Gong practitioner in her 30's, who is employed at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. At the end of June 2006, Ms. Zhou was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong when Li Hui and several other police officers from Yujiashan Police Station arrested her near the university. She has been transferred to a forced labor camp where she is suffering cruel torture.

The police have repeatedly arrested Ms. Zhou Liyu. Between 2005 and 2006, police officer Li Hui has arrested her three times.

Around 8:00 p.m. of June 28, 2006, police from Jiamusi City Public Security Bureau, Public Security Branch and Changsheng Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Jingui's home, claiming to conduct a population census. The police stole 1,200 yuan and nearly 300 copies of "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party." The police arrested Mr. Wang Jingui and his non-cultivating wife. Mr. Wang is now imprisoned in Jiamusi City Detention Center.

On July 13, 2006, Mr. Liu Changrong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Yiqi, Changchun City, was arrested and taken to Daguang Detention Center in Yiqi.

Since April 23, 1006, Liaoyuan City Detention Center in Jilin Province has been imprisoning and severely torturing 17 Falun Gong practitioners, including Mr. Xiang Lijie and Mr. Zhao Yan.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Hong lives in Unit 8-402, Building No.41, Dongyi District, Tiantongyuan, Changping District, Beijing. The police arrested Mr. Zhang around April 26, 2006.

14. [Beijing] Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Li Baofen Arrested

Around June 7, 2006, Ms. Li Baofen was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in Qingyouyuan, Beiyuanjiayuan, Chaoyang District, Beijing when a security guard reported her to the police. She is now imprisoned in Chaoyang Detention Center in Beijing.

On June 29, 2006, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang, in her 50's, from Hexi District, Tianjin when she was posting truth-clarification materials on the streets. From the information that we can gather, it seems that she will be sentenced to a forced labor camp.

Ms. Zhao Langui, 60, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Tianqiao District, Jinan City. Just before May 1, 2006, the police arrested her when she was clarifying the truth in Huaiyin District. Her whereabouts are unknown as of May 1, 2006.

On July 7, 2006, Ms. Shi Weidong was looking after her 93-year-old father-in-law at Shandong Hospital when she noticed a young patient in the next bed looking like he was in a lot of pain. She told him to recite, "Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong) is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good" to help reduce his pain. The young patient and his family refused to listen. Instead, they called the police and had Ms. Shi arrested. She has been taken to Dashan Prison. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, a MP3 player and a bag of truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Yu Lanfang is a Falun Gong practitioner about 38 years old. She is from Li Village, Cheliu Town, Fangzi District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. On June 14, 2006, she went on a business trip to Nanjing, Jiangsu Province and was arrested by Nanjing police.

Mr. Li Ronglai, Mr. Wei Lang and Mr. Lu Dongyun are Falun Gong practitioners from Leshan, Sichuan Province. Mr. Li Ronglai was sentenced to 10 years in prison; Mr. Wei Lang to 8 years; and Mr. Lu Dongyun to 7 years. They are now illegally imprisoned in Wumaping Prison, Leshan, Sichuan Province.

On June 3, 2006, Mr. Yue Jiangming and fellow police officers from the State Security Team at Changji City Public Security Bureau arrested Ms. You Yuzhen, a Falun Gong practitioner nearly 70 years old, when she was visiting a relative living 300 kilometers from Changji City.

Ms. Wu Aichun is a Falun Gong practitioner from Pingtang Town, Wangcheng County, Changsha City, Hunan Province. On July 7, 2006, the 610 Office in Wangcheng County arrested her at home. She was illegally imprisoned in the Wangcheng County Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Lizhen, 52, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Koujiawu, Yangkou Town, Shoukuang City, Shandong Province. On November 26, 2000, two soldiers at Tiananmen Square arrested her and took her to Tiananmen Square Police Station. She was put behind bars and denied food for the entire day. On November 29, 2000, government staff from her local township illegally imprisoned her for two weeks and deprived her of sleep during the imprisonment. They only released her after extorting 10,400 yuan.
