(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2006, two Falun Dafa practitioners in Singapore went to the Chinese Embassy to protest the persecution of Falun Gong over the past seven years, and to call for an end to the persecution immediately. On July 21, local authorities prosecuted these two practitioners charging that the "banners' words humiliated officials in the Embassy." One investigator told these two practitioners that Singapore has different laws for different people.

On July 6, 2006, invited by Li Guangyao, the former Chinese Vice Premier and 610 Office Head Li Lanqing visited the National University of Singapore to receive an honorary PhD. On July 12, one of the accused Falun Dafa practitioners, Ms. Huang Caihua went to protest Li Lanqing's visit in front of the Chinese embassy, and she was arrested by the police for "humiliating" Li Lanqing with her banner reading "How Li Lanqing persecutes Falun Gong cannot be Tolerated by Heaven."

The Singapore police keep on using the word "humiliate," so it seems like they're trying to make people think that the Chinese Embassy and Li Lanqing are the victims. Saying that they participated in the persecution of Falun Gong over the past seven years is somehow supposed to be an "insult" to them.

Let us look at what has Li Lanqing done, and what situation he is facing in other countries.

On June 7, 1999, Jiang mentioned at a CCP Politburo meeting, that in the soon-to-be established group formed to specifically deal with the Falun Gong issue, Li Lanqing would be the head. Jiang was referring to the notorious 610 Office system. In the past seven years, the CCP 610 Office system has created an unprecedented human rights disaster in China, with large scale killings, removal of organs from living people and then cremating their bodies, implementing more than a hundred torture methods, detentions, sexual abuse, mental torture, brainwashing, inciting hatred, and more.

Li Lanqing has been called by Falun Dafa practitioners the "Chinese Gestapo Head," and faces lawsuits in the United States, France, Belgium, Taiwan, German, Canada, New Zealand, Chili, Holland, Japan, and Switzerland for crimes against humanity and torture. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has put Li Lanqing, together with Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Bo Xilai, on their watch list. If they dare to enter Canada, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will initiate an investigation of their crimes.

A just-approved motion in an Ontario court (in Canada) has paved the way to bring Jiang and Li Lanqing to trial in absentia.

Singapore officials should think it over. Why is a killer who has flagrantly violated human rights and is being sued and condemned in other countries, welcomed in Singapore? If a country extends honorary titles to human rights criminals, how does that make this country look?

What is truly being humiliated in this unfair treatment of Falun Gong are the people of Singapore, the dignity of Singapore's justice system, and the international reputation of Singapore as a civilized country.

We hope Singapore officials do not abuse the law to enforce their personal will, that they do not confuse right and wrong, and that they do not punish the good while encouraging the bad. Otherwise, they will be accessories to inhuman crimes and bring shame to the nation of Singapore.
