1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Torture Leaves Ms. Deng Mentally Disoriented
Ms. Deng Xiaoming is a 27 year-old English teacher at Nanchang Normal University. She is usually a cheerful person, and is good at singing and dancing. But because she was determined in practicing Falun Dafa, she was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp in 2000. In the camp, Ms. Deng once went on a hunger strike, but brigade head Wang Junsheng and deputy head Lu held her to the ground and shocked her with electric batons. Ms. Deng fainted and went into shock.
The torture left Ms. Deng mentally disoriented.
2. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested and Taken to Brainwashing Center
Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Wenjie was released after spending 2 years in a forced labor camp. But after returning home, officers from Zhaoyuan City arrested him and took him to a brainwashing center. He's been there for three months. Officers handcuffed Yang onto a window frame for several days, but Yang did not yield. Other practitioners detained at the brainwashing center include Li Lanying, Song Dexiang, Wen Kejun, Xu Chunmei, and others.
The officer in charge of the Zhaoyuan Brainwashing Center is Sun Qiquan. Zhang and Song Shuqing are wire pullers.
3. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Su Hongzheng Arrested for Clarifying the Truth to People
Ms. Su is a 50 year-old resident from Hongmiaoxiang Street, Dujiangyan City. Because she clarified the truth to a retired street officer and sent him a CD, Ms. Su was arrested by the Hongmiaoxiang Police Station and the Street Office. Ms. Su is being detained at the Dujiangyan City Detention Center.
4. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Materials Production Site Damaged
At around 2:30 p.m. on May 13, 2005, police officers from the Xinhua Police Station arrested Mr. Jiang Haitao at his home. They searched Haitao's home twice and confiscated one flyer and 20 stickers printed with "Falun Dafa Is Good." On the evening of May 14, 2005, the police locked Jiang Haitao inside a steel cage at the Criminal Police Brigade, located across the street from the Xinhua Police Station. It's known that the police arrested several practitioners on May 12. Under pressure, the arrested practitioners revealed many things related to Jiang Haitao. One older woman said she wrote a declaration of withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and then handed it to Jiang. Now, local officers have organized a special group to investigate Jiang's case, in particularly the internet declaration of withdrawal from the CCP.
So far, practitioner Xu Xuezhi, his wife, and Wang Aimin have been arrested. Now, all of the attention is being focused on Jiang Haitao alone, and he is enduring intense pressure. Jiang Haitao's younger brother, Jiang Haibo, has been forced to leave home to avoid being persecuted.

5. [Daqing City, Heiongjiang Province] Ms. Kan Xiumei and Her Sister Arrested
At around 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2005, several police officers broke into Kan Xiumei's home and arrested her and her sister. The two are Falun Dafa practitioners from Daqing City.
6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Chang Xiurong Arrested
At around 10:00 a.m. on May 12, 2005, police officers Yao Li and Li Xiangdong, from the Zhengzhou Railway Police Department, together with four other police officers, broke-into Chang's home. Officers searched the home and arrested Chang Xiurong. Officers said they just wanted to ask some questions and then let Chang go home. But Chang was not released. At about 9:00 a.m. on May 13, a detention notice was sent to Chang's home, which showed that Mr. Chang is being detained at the Zhengzhou Railway Detention Center for "subversion of the government."
7. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiuxiang and Ms. Li Cairong Are Arrested
At around 8:00 p.m. on May 12, 2005, police officers from the Yuanshang Police Station arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Li Xiuxiang and Li Cairong, from Lijiazhuang Village, Yuanshang Township, as they were out hanging Falun Dafa banners. Officers searched the practitioners' homes, and confiscated Falun Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. Five police officers searched Li Cairong's home that same evening. Currently the two practitioners are detained at the Laixi Detention Center.

Fang Yingmei is a Falun Dafa practitioner who is about 50 years of age. On April 8, 2005, police officers from the Wuming County Police Department and the 610 Office arrested her again.

9. [Nanning City, Guangxi Province] Ms. Deng Arrested
Ms. Deng Hongxia is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Nanning City. She was on a business trip to Shenzhen City, Guangdong on May 5, 2005. That evening on the express train from Nanning to Shenzhen, while the train traveled inside Cenxi County, she was arrested by agents from the National Security Bureau. Now she is detained at the Guangxi Second Detention Center.
10. [Shanghai City] Ms. Li Caifeng Arrested
Ms. Li Caifeng is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Linyiliu Village, Pudong New District. She is approximately 60 years old. On April 28, 2005, she was arrested at Gaoqiao Township, Pudong while clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. Now she is being detained at the Zhangjiang Detention Center at Pudong. The Pudong New District Police Brigade is in charge of the case.
11. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Kong Xiangsheng Sentenced to Forced Labor Camp
At around 9:00 a.m. on April 18, 2005, Falun Dafa Practitioner Kong went grocery shopping. He was arrested and taken to the Renmin Road Police Station. At 11:30 a.m., police officers searched Kong's home, confiscated his Falun Dafa books, and Kong was released by noon.
Several days later, Kong went to the police station to ask for his books. Police officers said, "If you write down why you need the book, we'll return it to you." So Kong wrote something and he was told to pick up the books at 8:00 a.m. on May 8. When Kong arrived at the police station at the requested time, he was arrested, sentenced to one and half a years in a forced labor camp, and sent to the Shayang Forced Labor Camp the same day.

12. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Chunshan Arrested
Mr. Li Chunshan is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Huadian City. Two plainclothes officers from the Minghua Police Station arrested him while he was delivering truth-clarifying materials. Li is jailed at the Huadian City Detention Center.

13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Xin Jinan and Guo Caixia Holding Hunger Strike at a Brainwashing Center
Xin and Guo are Falun Dafa practitioners from Weifang City. On May 12, 2005, the two were arrested while they were hanging up banners. They were sent to a brainwashing center the following day. Currently the two are on hunger strikes to protest their illegal arrests.
14. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Liu Cuixian and Ms. Xie Lihua Are Arrested
Ms. Liu and Ms. Xie are Falun Dafa practitioners from Kunming City. On April 6, 2005, the two were clarifying the truth to people in Ajin Township, Lufeng County. They were arrested by police officers, and are being detained at the Lufeng County Detention Center.

15. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Qi Guizhi and Ms. Pan Meilian Are Arrested
Ms. Qi and Ms. Pan are Falun Dafa practitioners from Kaifeng City. At about 10:30 p.m. on May 10, 2005, the two were arrested by two plainclothes officers at the bridge on east Binhe Road, and sent to the Songmen Police Station, Shunhe District. Their homes were searched. Currently, the two are being detained at Kaifeng City Detention Center.
16. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Facts on the Persecution of Some Practitioners
On April 18, 2005, He Shijin, CCP Secretary of Chengde City Police Brigade, and Liu Mingcheng, a police officer from Shuangqiao District, led other police officers to arrest ten Falun Dafa practitioners, including Liu Yanru, Xie Ping, Bian Lianqun, Fu Yuqin, Liu Jinfu, Li Chunfang, Zhang Songlin, and Li Jicheng. Currently, Liu Yanru, Xie Ping, Liu Jinfu, Bian Lianqun, Li Jicheng and others are still being detained at the city detention center.
Practitioners Feng Xiaoqi and Qu Shoucheng were arrested for producing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials in September 2003. In 2004, the two were sentenced to 14 and 15 years in prison respectively, and are now being detained at the Baoding City Prison, Hebei Province (address: PO Box 127-16, Baoding City, Hebei Province). Practitioners Meng Xiangqiu and Ma Benshun (a resident of Shuangqiao District, Chengde City) were also heavily sentenced and detained there.
Practitioner Zhang Zhongfei and his wife Tong Xiulian are residents of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. In September 2003, the two were arrested in Haidian District of Beijing City. In 2004, they were sentenced to eight years in prison by the Haidian Court. Zhang Zhongfei is detained at Baoding City Prison, while Tong Xiulian is at the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison (address: PO Box 133-381, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province).
17. [Zaoyang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shi Yan Arrested
Ms. Shi Yan is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Zaoyang City. On April 25, 2005, she was arrested while delivering Falun Dafa materials. Ms. Shi was detained at Zaoyang City's No. 2 Detention Center. Her family spent close to 10,000 yuan to pay fines and living expenses to secure her release on May 13.
