Well-Being of Hunger Striking Practitioners in Singapore Is a Concern of Falun Gong Practitioners Around the World (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Two Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore, Ms. Ng Chye Huay and Ms. Cheng Lujin are presently on hunger strike in Changyi Woman's Prison to protest the unjust court sentences by the Singapore authorities against them. According to the Strait Times' report, a prison spokesman said that refusing to eat was an offence under the Prisons Act. If found guilty, they could be placed in a punishment cell or given a written warning. They will be placed on a glucose drip should their health be in danger. Falun Gong practitioners from across the world are extremely concerned about the situation and have successively gone to Singapore Embassies in different countries to appeal on behalf of the two practitioners.

Australia: Falun Gong Practitioners Urge Singapore Government To Not Be An Accomplice of the Chinese Communist Regime (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 1, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from Australia gathered in front of the Singapore Embassy to hold a peaceful appeal and a news conference. They were protesting the Singapore court's unjust conviction of Falun Gong practitioners and requested the Singapore government to immediately release the two innocent Falun Gong practitioners who are currently imprisoned. Practitioners also called upon the Singapore government not to become an accomplice of the Chinese communist regime and immediately stop its participation in the suppression of Falun Gong. Practitioners delivered an appeal letter to the Embassy officials.

Taiwan: Practitioners Protest Singapore's Participation in the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 29, 2005, representatives of Taiwan Falun Dafa Association went to the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei to deliver a letter protesting against Singapore Court's unfair verdict against two Falun Gong practitioners and requested an immediate release of the two practitioners. The letter was delivered to the Singapore Trade Office at 3:30 p.m. The assistant representative Mr. Chen expressed that the letter will be sent to the Singapore government by the quickest express mail.
