(Clearwisdom.net) The Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp and the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin use many torture methods to persecute practitioners. These two labor camps are the primary locations where Tianjin practitioners are being persecuted. The following lists a few of the practitioners who have endured persecution in the Tianjin area.

Mr. Liu Liankun, 36, lived in the Beichen District. In April 2000, Mr. Liu was arrested and sent to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp. Because he refused to renounce his beliefs, his term was prolonged by one additional year after he had already spent two years in the labor camp. Mr. Liu was tortured many times at the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp. In April 2003, he was re-arrested by the 610 Office in Beichen and was later sent to the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp. On December 24, 2003, the police transferred him to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp to hide the fact that he had been tortured and persecuted. On April 27, 2005, he walked out of the labor camp.

Mr. Chu Jidong, 34, lived in the Dagang District. In October 1999, Mr. Chu was arrested and sent to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp. In October 2000, his term was extended for one year because he refused to renounce his belief in Falun Gong. In October 2001, the 610 Office in Dagang transferred him to the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp, where the police used all kinds of torture on him. Some policemen even threatened that if he would not renounce Falun Gong, his only way out would be death. Despite these threats, in October 2005, he walked out of the labor camp.

Mr. Huang Qiaoli, 40, was arrested for the second time by the officers from the Duzhuang Police Station in the Dongli area of Tianjin City on March 20, 2003. During his imprisonment in the Dongli Detention Center, the director named Li beat him many times. In the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp, the disciplinary unit tortured him using atechnique termed "one step to heaven," wherein a practitioner's head is covered with a plastic bag after his or her mouth is stuffed with dirty socks. (This same torture was also used on practitioner Xiao Shuli.) As a result of torture, Mr. Huang's left leg was numb for three months. Later Mr. Huang was transferred to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp. In May 2005, he made a solemn declaration nullifying any past words or behaviors made under duress that didn't meet the standard of a practitioner. Because of his declaration, the police beat him so ruthlessly that injuries covered his body. In May 2005, he walked out of the labor camp. His former workplace, the Tianjin Pipe Corporation, following the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s policy of persecuting practitioners economically, didn't allow him to return to work. Fellow Pipe Corporation employee Zhu Gang was fired for being a practitioner as well.

Mr. Han Yade, 34, held two bachelors degrees. He used to work at Motorola in Tianjin before he was illegally arrested. In late 2004 after he was arrested for the second time, he went on a hunger strike in protest. When he walked out of the labor camp on July 10, 2005, he was bloated and retaining fluid. During his nine-month hunger strike, the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp never stopped trying to brainwash him or physically torturing him. Several sources have confirmed that Mr. Han Yade passed away in late July.

Mr. Ma Jian, 32, is still detained at the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin. In late 2004, Mr. Ma went on hunger strike for two months to protest the slave labor he was forced to do for 18 hours a day. In May 2005, the police again intensified their attempts to brainwash him, as well as their physical torture of him, leaving injuries all over his body. At this time, Mr. Ma is still on hunger strike.
