Currently, he has been transferred for further persecution to a brainwashing center maintained by the "610 Office" of Lianzhou City's Teachers' Further Studies School.

Tan Fusheng, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Hunan, is a schoolteacher. He was reported while distributing truth-clarifying leaflets. On July 19, 2004, the court attempted to try and sentence him. Tan Fusheng didn't cooperate with them and refused to appear before the court. He has currently been forced to leave school and become homeless. The second day after Tan Fusheng left home, the head of the school went to his home to give him the "National Outstanding Teacher Award" certificate but didn't find him.

3. [Honghu City, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Jingqiong Has Ovarian Trauma from Severe Beating and Is on the Verge of Death

Ms. Zhang Jingqiong, 38 years old, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Honghu City, Hubei Province, is an employee of Honghu City's Cotton Mill. Last year she was once again arrested by Honghu City's "610 Office" and sent to Shayang Forced Labor Camp. She has almost finished serving her term.

Zhang Jingqiong has been resisting the persecution with righteous thoughts by refusing to eat or drink. Several days ago, the guards forced other prisoners to beat her, causing considerable internal bleeding and damage to one of her ovaries. She passed out and was sent to Qilihu Hospital in Shayang Farm for emergency treatment. She is on the verge of death.

Last year, after being released from Shayang Forced Labor Camp, she immediately exposed their evil activities and firmly safeguarded Falun Dafa by stating that she had been deceived into renouncing her belief.

On September 5, Weng Zuxiu was once again secretly arrested by officials from the "610 Office" of the Political and Judiciary Committee in Honghu City. She was then sent to Hubei Province Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Guan Shuying, a handicapped Falun Dafa practitioner, lives in Dongshan in the Taiping District of Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. In July 2004, the Dongshan Police Station in Taiping District had her arrested. Without any justification, she was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.

On September 2, 2004, the policemen from the local police station arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Miao Guirong from her workplace. She was forcibly sent to Ningcheng Brainwashing Center in Pingju for persecution.

Ms. Huang Chengying, 62 years old, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Leshan City. Because she refused to wear prison clothes, she was brutally beaten and tortured by policewoman Xiong Chunyan. Everyday in jail, Huang Chengying is forced to do extremely stressful overtime work. She has to sleep on the floor in the workshop at noon. She works until 8 or 9 p.m., sometimes even to midnight. She has toothaches, loose teeth and gum atrophy. Her cataracts have recurred, and her eyesight is very poor by the afternoon and at night. Even in such condition, the police still force her to work and torture her both mentally and physically.

On August 30, 2004, Xiong Guangyu, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Baiyun District, Guizhou City, was reported while he was passing out truth-clarifying leaflets and was arrested by Xiuwen Police Station.

On August 25, 2004, Ms. Liao Duoxiu, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Guiyang City, was arrested by the Putuo Police Station. She is being held in Huaxi Lannigou Brainwashing Center.

On September 8, 2004, Zhang Chunyi, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Guiyang City, was arrested by Guiyang Zhongdong Police Station. He is now being detained in Huaxi Lannigou Brainwashing Center.

At about 10 a.m. on August 19, 2004, Ms. Yang Guiqiu, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Jiutiandi Village, Erhongqi Township, Xinmin City, Liaoning Province, was arrested by police when she was passing by the Erhongqi Township Police Station. The police then broke into her home through the windows and confiscated her Dafa books and some truth-clarification materials. When her family members went to the local police station and asked for her release, the police station staff said that Yang Guiqiu had been sent to the detention center. Her family members haven't seen her since.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Fengying is being tortured in Jiangxi Province Women's Prison. Several days ago she was "transformed" and agreed to renounce Falun Dafa because she could no longer endure the inhuman torture. She has since awakened from the brainwashing but was tortured again. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Recent details are unknown.

11. [Beijing] Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Guohua Arrested Five Months Ago, His Whereabouts Are Still Unknown

Wang Guohua, a 42-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner in Beijing, is a doctor in Fuwai Hospital in Beijing. In April 2004, he was arrested by Beijing City's Police Department. His whereabouts are still unknown.

Ms. Xu Guiping, in her sixties, lives in Room 201 of Unit 4 in Guomian Factory's third eight-floor dormitory in the small district of Heshan in Shilipu, Hanyang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. On the morning of September 7, 2004, people from the local community, police station and the "610 Office" arrested her at her home. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.

Ms. Huang Qin, born in 1972, lives near Hanshui Park in Wuhan. Since September 1, 2004, people from the local community, the police station, and the "610 Office" have frequently come to her home to harass her. On the afternoon of September 3, the "610 Office" assigned policemen in three cars to come to her home in an attempt to arrest her. Due to her family's strong resistance, the policemen didn't succeed.

A married couple, Mrs. Peng Yuanrong and Mr. Ming Tiaosheng, both Falun Dafa practitioners in Wuhan, were arrested by Wuhan City's "610 Office," leaving their 6-year-old daughter unattended at home. Currently, the "610 Office" has assigned Peng Yuanrong and Ming Zhaosheng's work units to take turns sending the child to and picking her up from school. The "610 Office" didn't allow the child to visit her parents, nor did they allow anyone else, including relatives, to visit the child.

Peng Yuanrong has now been sent to Zhanjiaji Brainwashing Center in Jiang'an District, where she has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Ming Zhaosheng's whereabouts are unknown.

At the end of April, Guangzhou City police arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Li Yongjun. The Longkouxi People's Court in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou City attempted to try Li Yongjun at 8:30 a.m. on September 21.

Recently Zhu Jialin, an employee of Sichuan University's Library, was reported while he was clarifying the truth in a grocery store in Dujiangyan. He was brutally beaten by local policemen. His wife was also beaten when she tried to persuade the police not to hurt him. The policemen detained Zhu Jialin, his wife, and their two grandsons for two hours. Then the policemen from Chengdu City escorted them to their home and ransacked it.

Zhu Jilin has recently been abducted to Jinhua Town Brainwashing Center for persecution.

In mid-August Ms. Li Xiuqin, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested at her home by police from Hailin City's Security Brigade. She was sent to Hailin City's Detention Center for persecution. The policemen ransacked her home and confiscated her 50,000 yuan savings, which she had planned to use to open a small supermarket, and everything of monetary value in the house. They even illegally arrested Li Xiuqin's son and tortured him for several days.

Currently, Li Xiuqin's husband Huang Guodong is still in custody and being tortured.

18. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Sun Jiping Illegally Arrested

On September 6, 2004, when Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Jiping went back to her hometown of Youwei Town, Linghai City, she was illegally arrested by the Youwei Police Station. She is now being illegally held in Linghai City's Detention Center.

On April 14, 2004, five or six policemen led by Meng Jinku, head of the

Security Brigade of Guangyang District Police Department in Langfang City, arrested Zhang Wenqiang, a Falun Dafa practitioner in Jiuzhou Town, Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei Province, when he was working at Jiuzhou Cement Component Factory. Without following any legal proceedings, they sent him directly to the Guangyang District Police Department.

The next day the police sent Zhang Wenqiang to the Langfang Detention Center. Twenty days later, Zhang Wenqiang was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and detained in Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan. He was then transferred to Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp for persecution. His recent situation is unknown.
