The statement said that Jiang's totalitarian era has ended and an era to bring Jiang to justice has begun.
The statement said that a campaign to bring Jiang to justice has long been in the works. A petition requesting to remove Jiang from his post has received supportive signatures from more than 10,000 organizations and individuals. The statement pointed out that the effort to bring Jiang to justice would not be stopped his stepping down.
