On September 27, 2004, Chief Zhang, from the Punishment Section in Jilin Prison, called Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Zhiyong's family and ordered them to pick up Li Zhiyong.

Previously, the prison, authorities from the Yintong Police Precinct, and the "610 Office" made an agreement by phone to let Yintong Police Precinct accept Li. Chief Zhang and another policeman brought Li Zhiyong to the Yintong Police Precinct to finish the release procedure. However, when they got there, the head of the National Security Team from the police precinct refused to sign the receipt to release Li Zhiyong, citing that Li's original residency was not in the Yintong Police Precinct. Thus, chief Zhang and the other policeman took practitioner Li Zhiyong back to Jilin Prison.

Li was already very sick and he did not eat anything that day, so his poor health was aggravated. On September 29, personnel in the Punishment Section contacted the Juhua Road Police Precinct, location of Mr. Li's original residency, and ordered them to sign the receipt, but the police precinct people also refused, with the reason that Li was not living there. Consequently, no police precinct would accept Li Zhiyong.

Li's family asked the Jilin Prison when Li would be released. Chief Wang from the Punishment Section replied, "We are dealing with the issue through the provincial '610 Office' and the National Security Bureau."

On October 10, Li's mother went to the Jilin Railway Hospital, where the prison authorities had sent him, to see her severely ill son. Li could not open his eyes and his body was severely swollen. He could not get up from the bed, and was in critical condition.

On October 12, Li's parents wrote an urgent letter to the director of Jilin Province's Judiciary Bureau and to the Jilin Province Prison Administrative Bureau, and mailed the letter marked "emergency delivery." They requested the unconditional release of their son, whose life is in peril.

In 2002, special agents from Liaoyuan City's "610 Office" arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. He Yuanhui from her home in Liaoyuan City. She was tortured with excruciating methods, such as pounding bamboo sticks under her fingernails. In September 2002 she was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment in Jilin City's Prison, where she suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis. She coughs blood and does not have the strength to walk.

Several practitioners currently have pulmonary tuberculosis, however, the prison authorities still do not allow these practitioners to be bailed out for medical treatment. On the contrary -- not only are they not permitted bail for medical treatment, the persecutors do not even permit these practitioners to practice the Falun Gong exercises, and they also try to brainwash them.

On September 7, 2004, practitioners He Mingli, Ms. Ma Shifang, Yao Rongxuan, and Wei Xiaojun, who exposed the 2003 crime of a policeman raping practitioner Wei Xingyan, were sentenced to long terms of imprisonment in Jiulongpo District Court in Chongqing. He Mingli was sentenced to 13 years, and the other three were sentenced to seven years each. All have appealed to the Criminal Section of Chongqing City's No. 1 Intermediate Court.

In December 2000, 32-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhao Xiaoli was released due to her poor health, after being held in Xinxiang City's Detention Center for 20 months for going to validate the Fa in Beijing. On March 8, 2004, personnel from Xinxiang County's Police Department of Henan Province again arrested her, and put her into Zhengzhou City's Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp for three years. Her five-year-old daughter, Zhao Lingfei, was left at home. When Zhao Lingfei was a year and a half old, during her mother's 20-months prison stay, she had to live with her grandparents who are in their seventies. Her grandparents are currently taking care of her, although her grandfather is in poor health.

Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Gao Chengnu (whose husband Guo Binggao is Korean) and Ms. Liu Yaokun have become extremely weak from long-term torture and poor nutrition in Jiamusi City's Forced Labor Camp. At present, they can only eat a tiny bit of food, and are exhibiting symptoms of serious illness.

In April 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Cai Hanhua from Danpu Village, the Dongshan District went to Fengchao Village and clarified the truth of Falun Dafa to the villagers. Someone reported her to the police, and personnel from the Dongxing Police Station put her into Jieyang City's Detention Center. She has not been able to eat for over twenty days, and her life is in peril.

Her family went to relevant units several times to demand her release, but were refused. Additionally, two weeks ago Cai Hanhua was secretly sentenced, and her family was not informed of the verdict. Cai Hanhua is still being held at the detention center and her life is in extreme danger.

On September 30, 2004, Chen Guanzheng and Liu Zhenhuai from the "610 Office" assigned to Jiangjin City's Police Department, together with Deng Bo, chief of the Political & Security Section, went to practitioner Su Li's home in Jiangjin City and arrested him/her. Su Li's whereabouts are now unknown.

According to insiders, Jieyang City's Court recently secretly sentenced four practitioners, including Huang Huajie, who was sentenced to six years of imprisonment, Ms. Huang Lizhi and Ms. Zhong Liena, who were sentenced to four years each, and Ms. Cai Hanhua, who was sentenced to five years.

During the evening of February 23, 2004 practitioner Ms. Li Qiong from Guangzhou City was arrested at home, and her home was ransacked. To date she is still held at an unknown location. Her family members have not been allowed to visit her. Her husband is an employee of the Guangdong Yantang Milk Company. He was seriously shocked at Li Qiong's arrest and has now developed cancer. Personnel at Tianhe District's Police Department still won't release Li Qiong to take care of her ill husband.

A few days ago, Falun Dafa practitioner Jiang Henghua from Jiangjia Village, Fangzi District, Weifang City, along with a practitioner with the last name of Chen, from Anqiu City, went to Beijing on a business trip. On October 8, when they were about to return to Weifang City, police found a Dafa truth-clarifying flyer on them in the Beijing Railway Station, and they were arrested on the spot. The persecutors immediately sent a fax to Weifang City's Police Department. That same day, police from Fangzi District's Heng'an Police Station ransacked Jiang Henghua's home, and confiscated his TV, DVD player, and Teacher's lecture videos. Jiang Henghua is now held at Fangzi District's Heng'an Police Station. The situation of practitioner Chen is not known.

On September 29, 2004, more than ten practitioners from Beijing were arrested, including Liu Hai, Liu Xiuying, Zhang Chunxia, Fang Bin, Zhu Jinyun, Wang Kai, Zhang Yuxiang, Yang Li, Chen Ping, and Li Baowen.

On September 19, personnel from the No. 1 Division of Fushun City's Police Department arrested practitioners Mr. Zhao Yunshan and Ms. Dong Linlin from Fushun City, and incarcerated them at the Liushan Detention Center. Zhao and Dong went on hunger strikes to protest the persecution. In October, Zhao and Dong were sentenced to forced labor, but it is not known where they were sent. The police would not divulge their whereabouts.

On September 26, 2004, personnel from the Xihai Police Precinct, Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province ransacked practitioner Ms. Han Li's home and arrested her. Ms. Han is currently being held at Gaizhou City's Detention Center.

1. Practitioners are treated as mental patients and locked in with those patients. In 2003, since practitioner Ms. Shan refused to renounce her belief, she was immobilized on a special metal bed for two months. After she was taken from the bed, she could not walk and had to crawl to use the toilet.
2. Ms. Liu Mei is in her thirties, and is from Donggang, Dandong City. She was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment for distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. She was tortured by excruciating methods, consequently, she suffers from pulmonary tuberculosis, and coughs blood all the time. Since she has not "reformed," she is still detained at the Old and Disabled Special Division.
3. Overtime forced labor is required. Many older and disabled practitioners are detained at the Old and Disabled Special Division. They are forced to work over 12 hours a day, and practitioners in other divisions work 16 to 17 hours. They make products for export, such as cotton swabs, etc. Some personnel say, "Work hard. These products will be exported, so the quality must be high!"

On March 25, 2004, practitioner Mr. Feng Jiancheng and his wife Ms. Han Sanmei from Luojiahui Village, Xiahuai Town, Pingshan County, Hebei Province were reported to the police as they distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Personnel from the Xibaipo and Xiahuai Towns' Police Precincts arrested them and put them into Pingshan County's Police Department and Detention Center.

In April 2004, officers from Pingshan County's "610 Office" sentenced Feng and his wife to three years of forced labor. Feng Jiancheng is detained at the No. 5 Team of Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp, and Han Sanmei is detained at the No. 2 Division of the Forced Labor Camp. Their daughter, Feng Wenxia, 17, cannot attend school, and their son Feng Wenhao, 11, is a fourth grade elementary school student. Both have to live with their 70-year-old grandmother.

Ms. Huang Huolan is a practitioner from Lianping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. On September 17, 2004, when she was photocopying truth-clarifying materials at a shop, she was arrested and sentenced to two years of forced labor. She is presently being detained at Sanshui City's Women's Detention Center.

Since 1999, Lianping County "610 Office" and National Security Team have arrested Huang Huolan several times, and taken her to brainwashing. They also harassed and persecuted her family.

Practitioner Ms. Gong Cailan and Ms. Zhao Haiqin were reported to police while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials. They were sentenced to two years of forced labor in February 2004 and are currently being detained at Sanshui City's Women's Forced Labor Camp.

According to an investigation, persons from Lianping County's "610 Office," the National Security Team, and Legal System Section illegally sent six local women practitioners to forced labor camps in 2000.

A policeman who used to work in Shengyang City's No. 3 Prison, and is now a warden in the city's No. 1 Prison, incited prisoners to torture practitioners with the lure of a three to six month reduction in their prison sentences. Practitioners tortured by prisoners include:

Mr. Zhang Chengjie from Huludao City, Liaoning Province, whose back was injured and one eardrum was perforated from brutal beatings.
Hou Yanshuang from Lingyuan City, who developed a kidney disease from not being allowed to use the toilet.
Wang Mingwen, whose eardrum was perforated.
Zeng Zhitao, who was not allowed to sleep, and finally was tortured to the point of mental collapse.
Gao Wenzhen, from Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province was under "strict monitoring" for refusing to work overtime.

Practitioner Mr. Ge Zhaoping from Fuyuan County is in his fifties. During the night of October 10, 2004, officer Zhang Sidong from the Political and Security Section of Fuyuan County's Police Department illegally searched his house and arrested him. He is currently being detained at Fuyuan County's Detention Center.

It was reported that at 6:30 p.m. on September 30, practitioner Ms. Lu Yongfang was arrested close to Jigang Village, where she was distributing truth-clarifying materials.

It has been verified that at 9:30 p.m. on September 30, sisters Fan Kuifen, Fan Kuifang, Fan Lanying, and another practitioner from Jinan City were arrested at Fan Kuifen's home.

On about September 26, a local security guard arrested Ms. Wu Zhuolan when she was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at a town in Guangzhou City. She was repatriated to Gaoyao City that same night and detained at Gaoyao City's Detention Center. She was scheduled to put her into Sanshui City's Forced Labor Camp on October 18. Since the beginning of 2004, Wu Zhuolan has been wanted by local police for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Wu went into exile several months ago to avoid further persecution.

Ms. Liang Miaoxia, Wu Zhuolan's daughter, is also a practitioner. She is under "tight monitoring." Wu Zhuolan's ex-husband, Liang Guobiao, is the proprietor of the Yangcheng Evening Paper group. He used to act as part time director of Zhaoqing City's "610 Office," and was in charge of anti-Falun Gong propaganda. He claimed the reason he divorced his wife was because Wu Zhuolan and their daughter practiced Falun Gong. The true story is that he actually had a mistress and wanted to marry her. His mistress often slandered Falun Dafa and abused Wu Zhuolan.
