(Clearwisdom.net) On July 29, Dafa practitioner Ling Wanxia from Xinggong Street, Lianshan District, Huludao City was arrested and sent to the Xingchang City Brainwashing Center. Several days later she was sent to Xingchang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to undergo further persecution. Currently, she is still in detention. Guo Jiben, an official from Lianshan District "610 Office,"* said that they would force Ling to give up cultivation and that she would not be released until she had earned the "brainwashing graduate certificate" approved by the "610 Office."
Twenty-three year old Ling was tortured for many days in the hospital. Now the "610 Office" has again put her in the brainwashing center to force her to accept their slanderous lies. The "610 Office" also has threatened determined Dafa practitioners with jail sentences or being sent to labor camps.
It is also known that 67-year old Ma Jin'ao and housewife Yu Meiping are among the Dafa practitioners who were arrested and sent to the brainwashing center. Both of them were arrested at the end of July.
*The 610 Office is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.
