(Clearwisdom.net) May 25^th report: Dafa practitioner Ho Lijun, a teacher at Changchun University of Science and Technology went to appeal in Tiananmen Square, Beijing in November 2000. Police brutally tortured and severely damaged her internal organs. After she returned home, she died in March 2001. The following is her story:

Dafa practitioner Ho Lijun, female, a lecturer at Changchun University of Science and Technology, was a resident of Changchun City, Jilin Province. She died as a result of torture in March 2001, when she was around age 60. Her college/school was previously known as the Changchun Institute of Optics and fine Mechanics.

After the persecution against Falun Dafa began in 1999, the local police station and the school sent people to harass Ms. Ho on so-called "sensitive days." [The days before major holidays and also prior to Party meetings] Ms Ho had been sent illegally sent to the local drug rehabilitation center as punishment on several occasions even though she never had any drug problem.

Around November 2000, Ms. Ho went to Tiananmen Square to appeal where police abducted her and sent her to a police station in Beijing, where she was brutally beaten, forced to squat and also kneel on the ground. She was tortured with a method called "flying the airplane." where the person is forced to stand with one's back against the wall, one's head dropped forward, and both hands pulled up from behind. They also used various other means of torture during a 24-hour period.

The police tried to force her to give up her belief, but she firmly refused. After 24 hours, she had bruises all over her body and was on the verge of death. She was then sent to a detention center in Beijing. At this time, Ms. Ho Lijun sustained severe wounds as a result of the torture she received and her face was swollen until it was unrecognizable. She also had difficulty walking. The next day, the police became worried she would die, so they sent her to a hospital. A doctor said, "She can live at most two to three months." The police was afraid of taking responsibility so they released her. With great fortitude, Ho Lijun went home by herself.

Because her internal organs were severely damaged, she died in March 2001. Even during the time she stayed home for recuperation, the local police often went to her home to harass her, and the school sent people to monitor her.
