A Practitioner's Letter to Australian Prime Minister to Stop Deportation of the Wangs Prime Minister Howard: Please stop the deportation of the Wang couple. I am a resident of New York. I am very concerned about the deporting of Jun
Tao Wang and Li Luan Wang (Immigration File No: CLF 2001/40662) The persecution of Falun Gong has been carried out systematically by Jiang
Zemin Regime since 1999. So far over 600 innocent Chinese have been
persecuted to death because of they practising Falun Gong. Somewhere between
235,000 and 2 million practitioners are being held in China's forced labour
camps. Thus I believe that sending Mr. and Mrs. Wang back to China to face
persecution is inhumane and morally wrong. While other democratic countries and international organizations are making
their best efforts to rescue Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China, I
hope the Australia government is not going to do the opposite. So far in the
world, only Cambodia has deported Falun Gong practitioners back to China.
All of them were arrested and are currently incarcerated in China. Mr. Howard, I do wish you will help with this serious and urgent matter. Your actions will have a dramatic impact on the future for Mr. and Mrs. Wang. Just for a moment, let us consider what would happen if Mr. and Mrs. Wang are deported and thereafter persecuted to death. What would the Australian people think about their own government? What would the world think about the Australian government? I don't think it is a matter of Immigration Department policy, Mr. Prime Minister. I think it's a matter of life and death. I appreciate your serious consideration in this matter. Yours sincerely, [name omitted]
