Two More Falun Gong Practitioners Are Verified to Have Died of Torture, Driving the Death Toll in Shandong Province up to 96

(Clearwisdom.net) Recent news from China indicates that two more Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in Shandong Province.

Mr. Xiao Pifeng, 52, was from Ezhuang Village, Zichuan District, Zibo City. He was tortured to death at the Boshanqiugu Labor Camp and was buried on August 25, 2003. According to those who had a chance to see his body, Xiao Pifeng's chin was pierced and had a hole in it. There were numerous wounds on his chest and under his armpit. The police did not allow people to see the rest of his body. The witnesses also said that one could tell from the body that Xiao had died many days earlier.

A Poor Villager Regains His Health Practicing Falun Gong, then is Tortured to Death at the Weiyuan County Detention Center, Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Congming, 57 years old, was a kind villager in the No.7 group in Xiaowan of Gaoshi town, Weiyuan County, Sichuan province. He was repeatedly detained and beaten because he refused to give up his practice of Falun Gong when coerced by the town government. He was beaten by someone in the Weiyuan detention center until he was disabled. After he became physically incapacitated, he sent home, where he died on August 11, 2003. This event caused a lot of indignation in the local area. The unlawful persons in the Gaoshi town government gave his family 300 yuan as a bribe for their silence.

Ms. Deng Weiqun from Guangdong Province Dies as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Deng Weiqun from Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province was arrested and detained at the Jiangmen Detention Center, where she went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. After over one month on her hunger strike, she was transferred to the Sanshui Women's Labor Camp in Guangdong Province, but because of her extremely poor health, the labor camp refused to take her. Her family then came to pick her up, but shortly after she returned home, she passed away.
