(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of Tuesday, October 28, Falun Gong practitioners in Houston gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to show support of their fellow practitioners on hunger strike in Jilin, China. They protested the cruel persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime, called for the release of all the detained Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin and for humanitarian rescue of Liu Chengjun.
According to reports on Clearwisdom.net, Liu Chengjun, a Falun Gong practitioner in Changchun, Jilin Province, was arrested for broadcasting truth-clarification TV program of Falun Gong that aimed to break through China's strict blockade of the truth about Falun Gong. Mr. Liu is in critical condition due to being cruelly tortured. To protest against the tortures in prison, more than one hundred Falun Gong practitioners are on hunger strike in the jails of Jilin.
According to an incomplete count, more than eight hundred Falun Gong practitioners have died from the persecution launched by Jiang Zemin in 1999. Hundreds of thousands of people have been illegally detained.
Falun Gong practitioners in Houston gathered to support their fellow practitioners in the jails of Jilin and to call for the Chinese government to stop the persecution of all Falun Gong practitioners.
