Atsushi Kaneko Returns to Japan, Confirming His Wife Luo Rong (Yoko Kaneko) Has Been Suffering Severe Torture (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of August 19, the "Support Committee to Rescue Yoko" held a press conference at the Bunkyo Borough Center in Tokyo. Mr. Atsushi Kaneko, who just returned to Japan from China, confirmed that his wife Luo Rong, (Japanese name: Yoko Kaneko) who is wrongfully imprisoned in a forced labor re-education camp in Beijing, has been suffering every kind of physical and mental torture. She has lost significant weight and is not in her right mind. The Support Committee Chairman delivered an urgent appeal to the media and people from all walks of life in Japan to pay attention to Ms. Yoko Kaneko's desperate situation and to make all attempts to rescue her.

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- An independent federal agency urged the Bush administration to press religious freedom issues during visits to India, Pakistan and China in August.
In a letter to Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, who was to visit the three countries, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom "strongly recommended" that religious freedom issues be given a prominent role in the Bush administration's dialogue with the foreign governments.
Mr. Yang Zhonghai, A Dafa Practitioner from Suiling City, Heilongjiang Province, Tortured to Death by the Shuguang Police Authorities
(Clearwisdom.net) In 2001, Mr. Yang Zhonghai, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Suiling City, Heilongjiang Province, was sentenced to one year in a forced labor re-education camp. A few days later after he was released, the Shuguang Police Authorities once again abducted him right before the New Year's Day of 2002. Mr. Yang Zhonghai went on a hunger strike for 6 days to protest the wrongful arrest. At that time, he was very weak, as his health had been severely damaged due to prolonged periods of torture and persecution. He passed away on May 19 (Lunar calendar, April 8), 2002.
