Practitioner Sun Jianhua from Shulan City, Jilin Province Tortured to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) Sun Jianhua was a 34-year-old male practitioner. After July 20, 1999 [when the Chinese government began the campaign to suppress Falun Gong], he was arrested for appealing in Tiananmen Square. He was later detained in Shulan City Detention Center and illegally sentenced to forced labor camp. Mr. Sun was released in October 2001. After being released, he dove back into the current of Fa rectification. Along with other practitioners who were forced to leave home and go from place to place to avoid illegal arrest, he participated in constructing Dafa truth-clarifying materials.

BEIJING - A Chinese court has sentenced four Falun Gong [practitioners] to prison terms ranging from seven to 16 years for [using] a cable television network and broadcasting information about the banned group, state media said.
