Falun Gong to Hold Large-scale Peaceful Demonstration in New York during the World Economic Forum

Hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners and supporters will gather in front of the Waldorf Hotel for four days and nights, starting on Jan. 31st, to raise awareness about Falun Gong and demonstrate to attendees of the World Economic Forum that the persecution of Falun Gong in China is a hindrance to business and stability in China as well as peace and prosperity throughout the world.

Hu Youliang, a Practitioner from Xishui County, Hubei Province, Died of Torture on January 23, 2002

Hu Youliang, male, 48 years old, was a resident of Xishui County, Hubei Province. He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996, whereupon his physical and mental health improved tremendously. Many people around him witnessed this improvement. But since the evil persecution started on July 20, 1999, he and his family have never had a single peaceful day.

MP Scott Reid's Speech at Press Conference for Shenli Lin's Release

(Clearwisdom.net) January 30, 2002 -- My name is Scott Reid. I'm the Member of Parliament for Lanark-Carleton and I'm a member of the Canadian Alliance. I make that point simply to reiterate that the support for practitioners of Falun Gong being persecuted is something that stretches across my party, the Liberal Party, and all the parties in the House of Commons. We have had support from Bloc, Tory, and New Democrat in the past, on this case and others.

Falun Gong Press Conference at the World Economic Forum

(Clearwisdom.net) January 31, New York City -- At 11:30am, in order to help clarify the truth to the business community about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, practitioners held a press conference in front of the Waldorf hotel in Midtown, Manhattan where the World Economic Forum is currently taking place. Over 200 practitioners, all wearing yellow Falun Dafa scarves, had been demonstrating the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts since the early morning.
