Ms. Chair, members of the Committee, my name is Chris Daly, and I represent District 6 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. I am honored to be here today to discuss my experiences with the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco. I believe that their actions have been antidemocratic and heavy-handed. Your courage in investigating these activities is appreciated.

Trinity Record (College Newspaper): Zhao Ming Sues Chinese Leader

The Trinity College student newspaper, The Trinity Record reported in its latest edition that several Falun Gong practitioners worldwide have filed a lawsuit against the Chinese leader, Jiang Zemin. Zhao Ming, a Falun Gong practitioner currently in Ireland was one of those who filed the lawsuit because of the torture and brutal treatment he received in a labour camp in China.

When the evil head visited Germany, I found myself distracted. My body was there but my mind was not. At the crucial moments I either fell asleep or my mind went awry. Many precious opportunities to send forth righteous thoughts at close range dwindled away. Afterwards I was so ashamed of myself. I felt deeply that I did not fulfill my sacred responsibility as a Dafa disciple. My cultivated side was restrained by human notions and could not play the role at the crucial moments. Before the trip to the US, I reminded myself that I had to strengthen my righteous thoughts and put my mind and body together. My fellow practitioner also called me to remind me to always keep righteous thoughts. After talking to a family member who is not a practitioner and arranging for childcare, I embarked on the trip to US and Mexico with fellow practitioners' trust and expectation.
