- Female Falun Gong practitioner Liu Aifang has been detained at Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp for almost a year now. It is unknown what methods the police have used to torture her, but her facial expression is often blank, and her reflexes are much slower than normal. She has lost the ability to speak and has been in a hospital for two to three months already. It is said that the labor camp attempted to collect 2000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] in medical costs from her family.
- Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Lianbin was sent to a labor camp in May of 2002. He is currently detained at Zhangqiu County, Jinan City (the name of the labor camp is unknown; it used to be a part of Wangcun Forced Labor Camp). His belief in Falun Dafa has not wavered. Attempting to force him to give up Falun Gong, the labor camp guards tortured him with various methods, including hanging him up and beating him.
- In October 2002, Laiwu police illegally sent three Falun Gong practitioners to forced labor camps. One of them is female practitioner Zhang Fuxiang from Anxian Village of Gaozhuang County. This practitioner is very determined in her belief of Dafa. Right before the 16th Party Congress, the city police department again illegally arrested a number of Falun Gong practitioners. They are being held at various detention centers and jails around the city.
- Laigang Falun Gong practitioner Wang Junshen was arrested in April 2002. He is still being illegally detained. The authorities wanted to prosecute and sentence him to jail. In court, under the power of righteous thoughts from Wang, the judge could not arrive at a guilty verdict. Wang was then taken back to the detention center.
We hope all Falun Gong practitioners will use their righteous thoughts to assist detained fellow practitioners, help them to break out from the evil dens and return to the Fa-rectification process.
