A certain police substation chief is able to conduct himself in good conscience and treat Falun Dafa and practitioners nicely. He reads the Falun Gong books and believes in Falun Dafa.
One night, while he was driving alone in a remote area where there was nobody around, his car broke down. He had good enlightenment quality and calmed down, thinking, "Master Li, please help me!" When he got back into the car, the car worked fine again and he returned safely.
One day, a spiteful person reported to the police that a practitioner possessed truth clarification materials at home. The chief led several policemen in a search. Arriving at the front door of the practitioner's home, the chief went in alone first, and saw there was a basket of paint bottles [used to post truth clarification materials in public places]. He asked the practitioner's family to hide the bottles away and then went back out the door, telling the other policemen, "Nothing here," and leading them away.
A young Falun Dafa practitioner went to Beijing to appeal and had been badly beaten, with wounds all over his body. The police chief was called to Beijing to escort the practitioner back home. On the way back, he took good care of the practitioner and bought food for him. He sympathetically told him, "If my son were beaten like you have been, I would go to court to sue them."
The police substation recently received a special new tool, an infrared telescope for the purpose of searching for Falun Dafa practitioners to arrest. It can find a practitioner posting banners as far away as several kilometers even on the darkest night. The police chief quietly warned the local practitioners about it.
Since very few practitioners have ever been arrested in his area of jurisdiction, his superior threatened to dismiss him. Upon hearing that, he returned some previously seized Falun Dafa books to the local practitioners. Every time he gathered with his friends and co-workers, he would protect Falun Gong, saying, "What is wrong with Falun Gong? The Falun Gong practitioners are all good people!"
