Wang Kefei, a female practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was tortured to death in the Changchun Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp. She died on December 20, 2001. Many kind-hearted people were greatly saddened by the end of such a dignified, pretty, and young mother's life, at the hands of such cruelty. Her enduring spirit of not giving in to evil touched people deeply. After her death, many learned that this practitioner sacrificed her young life in order to uphold the truth, awaken people, and save sentient beings.
Ordinary people though, did not think further after hearing news of her death. Some even continued helping the evil to persecute Dafa practitioners. How many more practitioners must be tortured to death? When will the evil be totally eliminated? As Falun Dafa practitioners, we need to search inside ourselves for answers. Some fellow practitioners have become numb because the persecution has been continuing for quite some time. For over two years, Jiang's authority has cruelly persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. Tens of thousands of practitioners have been arrested, beaten up, and detained. Over three hundred practitioners, who are accounted for, have been tortured to death. As time passes, some practitioners seem to have gotten used to and become numb towards this extreme treatment and persecution of good people. Some practitioners have lost sight of what we want out of cultivation and why we began practicing Falun Dafa.
There are still fellow practitioners who haven't truly melted into the Fa. We have not reached the requirements of "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance" set for us. We mistakenly stereotyped the actions of other practitioners, after the improvement of their xinxing. This includes going to Beijing to hold up banners, handing out truth-clarification materials, and clarifying the truth to people under any circumstance. The mistake lies in not truly and rationally understanding the sacredness and the dignity of carrying out these actions. Without improving our xinxing or cultivating compassion while learning the Fa, we weren't able to validate the Fa and expose the evil with a pure heart. We did not achieve improvement in our xinxing while working on Fa-rectification, so that we can eventually reach consummation. Instead, we have put a lot of direct effort on work without cultivating ourselves. By having separated our hearts from what we are doing, it is easy to imagine the effect on self-improvement as well as on Fa-rectification work.
More efforts need to be put into learning the Fa and cultivating our hearts. Many fellow practitioners have gone to Beijing to safeguard the Fa and did very well because of their pure thoughts. They were ready to give up everything they had in order to awaken the people around the world. They weren't at all thinking about their own consummation. The result of clarifying the truth, validating the Fa, and exposing the evil under all circumstances is also related to the broadness of our compassion. We can do well with every aspect of cultivation only when our hearts really melt into the Fa.
When clarifying the truth and exposing the evil to local people, we need to tell them the typical cases that have happened nationwide and worldwide. However, we should lay special emphasis on telling people what has happened locally, especially when there are local practitioners persecuted to death. We need to let people know why they have died. Didn't they die because they wanted to awaken more people's conscience and save more people? Shouldn't we use incidences of vicious persecution as examples to deeply and completely clarify the truth and expose the evil to people? Making a few phone calls or handing out fliers a couple of times without doing anything else isn't enough. We can not allow our fellow Falun Dafa practitioners to die in vain. If we don't improve our xinxing during this kind of situation, the vicious persecution might spread to more areas and last a longer period of time. If we don't truly improve our xinxing, the old forces might use this as an excuse to intensify the persecution and find our omissions. We need to pay more attention to this issue and truly understand that the old evil forces using the vile people in this world to persecute us who cultivate Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance, are actually persecuting all the kind-hearted people and all sentient beings. It's a critical battle between evil and good in the universe. In every important event, all the sentient beings are taking positions or repositioning themselves. We Falun Dafa practitioners must be the first to become aware of this issue and then actively do something about it. "If the evil has already reached the point where it is unsavable and unkeepable, then various measures at different levels can be used to stop it and eradicate it." (From Teacher's article, "Beyond the Limits of Forbearance") We definitely can not allow the evil to undermine the Fa so recklessly and endlessly. We need to go all out to use various forms, channels, and measures to dynamically eradicate the evil.
When we have a deeper understanding of the Fa, I'm certain we will be enlightened to more and better ways to eliminate the evil completely.
