The Effect of Righteous Thoughts

The new cosmos is incomparably wonderful and infinitely massive amidst the Fa-rectification, because the entire colossal firmament is made up of tens of millions of incomparably massive cosmic systems, and the great majority of the enormous cosmic systems that have been rectified by the Fa have already entered the new history. At present, the places where the evil is able to do bad things, though, are places that have not been reached by the Fa-rectification's massive changing-force. These are exactly the places where Dafa disciples' righteous thoughts take effect, even though the state of things in these places is also extremely complicated and degenerate.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Chen Dewen Tortured to Death in "Reeducation" Center on Hulu Island City, Liaoning Province

The "reeducation" center on Hulu Island City has cruelly tortured the detained Dafa practitioners in order to achieve their objectives of brainwashing all of them. On December 4, 2000, practitioners He Fenghua, Liu Jinwang, Chen Dewen, Zhang Xuan, and Li Xuemin refused to listen to the government' slanderous propaganda. They were sent to the second floor cafeteria, brutally beaten for four days and handcuffed for eleven days. This incident was just one of the countless inhumane tortures that they have suffered.

China has to stop its persecution of Falun Gong. It is with sorrow and anger that we watch the extensive persecution of practitioners of Falun Gong in China. Assault, imprisonment and even killing of practitioners have been carried out by the Chinese government. This is completely unacceptable and is a serious violation of both freedom of religion and fundamental democratic rights. The persecution has to stop and the international community has to protest with vigour. As a member of the left-wing party and as a democratic socialist, I think that China' violations of human rights are repulsive and a disgrace to the Chinese government.

NEW YORK -- A senior Chinese law enforcement official has been sued in U.S. federal court for allegedly directing the torture and deaths of practitioners of Falun Gong, lawyers for the banned spiritual group said.
