A Special News Report About Falun Gong on the Local San Diego ABC Channel

On the morning of April 13th, facing the scenic and calm Pacific Ocean, more than ten Dafa practitioners from San Diego practiced Falun Gong exercises while listening to the instructions and the graceful Dafa music. That same day, the local ABC evening news did a special report about Falun Gong, hosted by Ms. Lee Ann Kim - all the while, in the background, the magnificent display of the practitioners' peaceful exercise on the beach was used. During the program, Ms Kim showed alternating images of Chinese policemen brutally beating practitioners in Tiananmen Square, the letter from the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles threatening the local US officials who had issued proclamations for Falun Gong, and clips from the interview with the Mayor of Santee, Mr. Randy Voepel, who stood up against the pressure by the Chinese government and proclaimed an award supporting Falun Gong, etc. By showing practitioners peacefully doing exercises and being interviewed by Ms Kim, all facts were aptly presented to thousands of TV viewers. Without a doubt, this special news report offered an excellent opportunity for people to understand Falun Dafa.

Falun Gong Practitioner Liu Lanxiang of Gansu Province Dies from Police Persecution

Liu Lanxiang, female, about 40 years old, was an employee of the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Minqin County, Gansu Province. With an unshakable belief in Falun Dafa, she rejected the vicious transformation, and traveling several times to Beijing to appeal and continually clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa in her local area. The Public Security Bureaus of Wuwei City and Minqin County illegally arrested, detained, and imposed fines on her more than once. Her relatives and friends were also embroiled. Ms. Liu was harassed so often that she was not able to live or work normally. As a consequence, she had to leave her hometown and spend a long time wandering in and around Lanzhou City.
