Lu Renjuan, resident of Longkou City, Shandong province, attained the Fa (law; principles) in 1994. She set up a practice site at her home, and helped more people in the nearby villages and towns attain the Fa. In one village, about 70 to 80 people attained Fa. Every day, there were more than 100 practitioners doing the exercises and studying Fa at her home. Everyone felt Falun Dafa to be very good.

Since July 20, 1999, the Xiadingjia township government in Longkou City has created all kinds of hardships for Lu Renjuan. They tried to coerce her to write the "repentance letter" to stop practicing Falun Gong and to give up her cultivation practice. Lu determinedly refused to co-operate with their request and refused to write any "guarantee" letter. As a consequence, she was locked up for several months. In order to validate Dafa (Great Way, Universal Principles) and clarify the truth, she went to Beijing to appeal. This resulted in her being sent back and detained for 15 days by the Longkou City government. After her release, she was again illegally locked up in the Xiadingjia hospital by Xiadingjia township government with no food or drink. When her son, Liang Bing, and friend, Lu Renying, came to bring her meals, the director of the militia Department of Xiadingjia Township deliberately made things difficult for them. He would aggravate them by asking them whether they would practice Falun Gong or not. They did not answer. Therefore, they too were illegally detained for 15 days and each fined 2,000 Yuan RMB (Approximately 4 -month salary of an average urban worker). In January 2000, Lu Renjuan's son went to Beijing with a fellow practitioner to validate Dafa, and to appeal for his mother's illegal detention. They were locked up for more than 20 days after returning from Beijing. After their release, they were again detained for another 15 days. Each of them was fined 5,000 Yuan RMB.

Lu Renjuan was locked up until December 22, 1999 (Chinese lunar calendar). She was released after she paid a fine of 2,000 Yuan RMB. On December 28, 1999 (Chinese lunar calendar), Lu went to her sister's home. There were two other fellow practitioners buying things at her sister's store. It just so happened that the government officials of the Xiadingjia Township went to her home to see what she was up to. After finding the practitioners gathering there together, the government officials detained them. They were sent to the township office building, and were punished by being made to stand for extremely long periods of time. This continued day after day. The detained practitioners spent their Chinese New Year in the office building and were continuously subjected to such torture methods.

After seeing the government so unreasonable, on February 2000, more than 10 practitioners from Xiadingjia went to Beijing to appeal. This appealing outraged the government officials, who wanted to place blame on someone. As a result, 10 Xiadingjia government officials dragged Lu Renjuan out from her home and beat her up. On March 2000, the Longkou municipal government "paraded" Lu Renjuan through the streets in several nearby villages. During the "street parade," Lu suffered all kinds of humiliation. The policemen ordered her to hang her head and admit her guilt, but she did not comply with their commands. Instead, she held her chin up and her chest out. The policemen beat her up viciously. Whenever she reached another village, all the kind-hearted people shed tears for her, and choked with silent fury. They all cursed the inhuman policemen. After the "street parade," Lu was sent to jail and illegally detained until May 2000.

In September 2000, the Xiadingjia township government once again tried to detain Lu Renjuan because they were afraid that she would go to Beijing to appeal. Lu Renjuan was forced to leave home and wander about. We have heard nothing from her ever since. Longkou city offered a reward of 70,000 Yuan RMB for the capture of Lu Renjuan. In order to capture her, Longkou city again illegally detained Lu Renjuan's younger sister Lu Renju and older sister Lu Renying. They hoped in this way they could force Lu Renjuan to give herself up. Their tactics are extremely cruel and shameless.

Presently, Lu Renjuan's whereabouts are unknown. Lu Renying and Lu Renju are still being illegally detained. This family's circumstances are truly tragic and cannot be overlooked! Lu Renjuan's son, Liang Bing, was also forced to leave home and wander about. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Furthermore, Lu Renjuan's nieces were to be sentenced, or their homes confiscated. The Longkou municipal government and Xiadingjia township government went to search Lu Renjuan's house, her sisters' house, and her mother's house all the time. Her parents, who were in their 70's, were scared to the point of contracting serious illnesses, and lived in extreme anxiety every day.

All kind-hearted people, please come forward to help this family. Please think about it: who has fragmented this family? Who has destroyed the social stability?

Exposing the illegal conduct of policemen:

Chao Chengxu formerly worked for Fenyi County. He was one of the murderers who beat Falun Dafa practitioner Tian Xiangcui in Fenyi County to death in July 2000. He was later transferred to Xiadingjia. He bragged, "It is nothing to beat one or two to death." "I will take the responsibility if one or two of them are beaten to death." Repulsive in appearance, Chao often drank and gambled with his partner, policeman Chen Zhenwei. When they lost their money, they vented their anger by beating Dafa practitioners. Day or night, it didn't matter, they would drag the practitioners out and beat them up severely. They used the electric batons to shock their hands until their hands were burned. This evil policeman who beat Tian Xiangcui to death has continued to commit his illegal conduct again in Xiadingjia. His crimes against humanity should not go unnoticed and he is due for retribution in the future.
