Secretary of State Powell shook hands with all the practitioners. When the practitioners questioned Powell about the suppression of Falun Gong and the persecution of its practitioners in China, he stated that every human being has the rights to freedom of religion and freedom of belief. He went on to say that Falun Gong practitioners have not harmed anyone. All the events that are happening in China right now are extremely unfortunate.
