I would like to thank you for contacting me with your concerns regarding the persecution of the Falun Gong in China. I appreciate having the benefit of your views on this matter.

Jiang Zemin Bears Responsibility for the Suppression of Falun Gong

Jiang Zemin’s regime has brought damage and disaster to China and the Chinese people, as clearly shown by his campaign of persecution against Falun Gong. With tens of millions of practitioners in more than 40 countries, Falun Gong has established itself as a popular meditation exercise that is highly effective in improving the health of both mind and body.

[Mainland China] Be Cautious of Police Traps

Beijing practitioner Zhang Lin (alias name) from the Asian Games?village is a new practitioner who started practicing last November. She was laid off because she openly defended Dafa at her job. This year, after July 20^th, she went to Tiananmen to hold a banner, and was detained for three days, after which she was released. On August 29^th, the police called her to have a chat at her home. When they arrived, they asked her to accompany them to the police station for some verification procedures. Through deception she was taken from her home, and ended up being sentenced to the labor-education camp for one year. Another practitioner was also deceived by public security, and sent to the labor-education camp, the same way. According to some sources, all the practitioners who are currently detained, in detention centers, for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong will be set free for 2 to 3 days. ( Because most practitioners are on hunger strikes at the detention centers, the police let them return home to eat something during this short period.) Afterwards the police will take the practitioners directly from their homes to labor-education camps. Here we have a special reminder for Dafa practitioners: please pay attention to your safety when handing out materials. If you do get arrested, it’s better to move around frequently after being released.
