During the United Nations' Summit, Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world gathered in New York City and held a series of peaceful demonstrations and Dafa-promoting activities. The effect achieved from Dafa-promoting was unprecedented. In addition to spreading Dafa to the American people and leaders of different countries, as well as all kinds of media, Falun Gong practitioners used every opportunity to show the truth of Falun Dafa to Chinese officials, including the Chinese President, who advocates suppressing Falun Gong.
From the day the Chinese President arrived in New York, Falun Gong practitioners wearing yellow T-shirt could be seen holding banners and signs wherever he showed up: at the Waldorf Hotel where leaders from different countries stayed and the Chinese Embassy for the United Nations. The Chinese officials tried to avoid facing Falun Gong practitioners. According to reports, the Chinese President's travel routes were always very tightly guarded. Even though they tried to avoid them, peaceful and sincere Falun Gong practitioners still surprised the President several times. He suddenly ran into a Falun Gong practitioner when he was about to leave a lunch meeting on the 8th. Seeing him, this practitioner couldn't help saying loudly:" President, please release Falun Gong practitioners."
On the evening of September 8th, after a concert, the Chinese President left in his car from the back door of Lincoln Center. When his car turned to leave, directly in front of him, there were Falun Gong practitioners holding a banner that read, " Practicing Falun Gong is a Right."
Before the President left New York, Falun Gong practitioners learned that he was at the Chinese Embassy of the UN at 35th Street. About ten practitioners immediately went there. Some practiced across the street from the Embassy and some held the signs that read, "Stop Persecuting Falun Gong" and "Good Will be Rewarded and Evil Will be Punished", to express Falun Gong practitioners' voices. However the Chinese officials once again used the trick--"Look one way and row another". Most cars left from the main door while the President's left from the side door. When his car came out, he didn't expect to run into four Falun Gong practitioners holding a banner, written in English; "Falun Dafa" with golden, shiny, letters. Falun Gong practitioners holding banners appeared in front of him once again when the car turned the corner of First Avenue.
At that point, the writer was quite confused. Why does the Chinese President not listen to the voices of the peaceful people when he has the cosmic timing and favorable earth conditions? Being a president of a country with more than a billion people, why is he so cruel when suppressing Falun Gong but so nervous when facing honest and frank Falun Gong practitioners? What is the real reason that the Chinese President is frightened, full of hatred, and feels, deep in his heart, that he "must suppress Falun Gong"?
