Falun Dafa Practitioners Gather and Appeal in Washington DC on the 7.20 Anniversary

(Minghui News, July 20, 2000) At the one-year anniversary of the suppression of Falun Gong in China, about 500 Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in Washington DC today and started a four-day event, which is part of the worldwide commemorative activities. The event in DC is to call for support for the practitioners who are still under persecution in China. Practitioners gather here also to seek a peaceful resolution of Falun Gong crisis and to tell the truth to people.

If you have been following the dramatic Falun Gong story this past year, you have seen three Chinese characters with the English words "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" on our banners, our web sites, and in our speeches and statements. "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" is neither a motto nor a marketing slogan; "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" is how Falun Gong practitioners endeavor to act and what we endeavor to become at every moment. We understand "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" to be both the foundation of and the highest principles in the universe, and we work to bring ourselves into harmony with these principles.

Publishing Newspapers and Magazines to Facilitate Spreading The Truth of Falun Dafa to the Public

After studying Master Li' new articles titled "Towards Consummation", "In Reference to a Prophecy" and "Using at Will", Falun Dafa practitioners outside China turned to a new page of "assisting the teacher in the human world". Moved and inspired by Teacher' boundless and powerful Fa, the practitioners outside China opened up their minds and broke through the conventions. They started to adopt the approaches of ordinary people, such as setting up a radio station, publishing newspapers and magazines, to expose the lies of the Chinese government and to spread the truth of Falun Dafa to people around the world.
