[Clearwisdom.Net] Since July 22, 1999, practitioners in Shuangqiao District of Dazu County have been forced to hand in Dafa books and videos countywide. Practitioners were told to write a "guarantee letter"(stating that they would not practice), to criticize Dafa materials, and abandon their belief, otherwise they would be fired, fined, put into labor camps or forced to attend "transformation classes." These punishments were carried out on the orders of the town government.

Some evil policemen at the County Public Security Bureau often beat and harassed the detained practitioners. When it came time for Dafa practitioners to eat, the police would say sarcastically: "You practitioners are not afraid of getting hungry. What do you eat for? Do not give them food."

Those practitioners who went to appeal in Beijing would be sentenced to a labor camp. Every company was told to root out practitioners in their employ. Practitioners' movements, phone calls and personal letters were all monitored. They were deprived of all personal freedom.
