1998 Health Survey of Harbin Falun Gong Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) In 1998, the Harbin Falun Gong assistance site in Heilongjiang Province conducted a survey called “The Health and Ideological Advancement of Falun Dafa Practitioners” among Harbin practitioners to reflect the true situation of Falun Gong practitioners. At that time, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) departments had begun suppressing Falun Gong without any reason.

The scope of the survey was limited to the Daoli, Daowai, Nangang, Taiping, Xiangfang and Dongli districts. The samples were taken from Falun Gong practitioners who went to the practice site every day to do the exercises. The survey took about one month.

The survey questioned people in two areas: one was about their physical changes after practicing Falun Gong; the other was about changes spiritually. The survey required that claims of previous illness be verifiable with medical records.

About 12,000 survey forms were distributed and 10,172 were collected. After being copied and bound, the collected surveys were sent to the relevant departments responsible for Qigong administration.

According to survey results, of the 10,172 who responded, 1,165 persons were healthy before they started practicing Falun Gong, whereas 9,007 persons reported a verified illness, such as high blood pressure or diabetes. After practicing Falun Gong, 8,568 respondents reported recovery, while 439 people reported that they did not show noticeable improvement. In other words, 95.1 0id show noticeable improvement.

Since Falun Dafa was introduced to the public in May 1992, many people have recovered from life-threatening illnesses and restored their health.
