(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Guiying, 59, was arrested on July 30, 2026, by officers from the Yingbin Police Station. The police confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, a computer, a Wi-Fi device, and some cash.
Ms. Lu Yiman, 84, was arrested by officers from the Xiaoba District Police Department on May 9, 2026, and her home was ransacked.
Ms. Liu Xiaoxia was arrested by officers from the Lijia Street Police Station and the Nansha District Domestic Security Division on June 10, 2026, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her son, Mr. Sun Yu, wrote a letter to the head of the Domestic Security Division to seek justice for her. He was summoned to the Lijia Street Police Station on August 13, 2026, arrested on the spot, and has been detained since.
Ms. Yang Xuecui and Ms. Qin Fengmei were arrested and detained by officers from the Jinnan District Police Department in May 2026.
Ms. Wang Yanfang was arrested on Tiananmen Square on April 12, 2021, after the police found Falun Gong informational materials in her purse at a checkpoint. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was later sentenced to one year in prison and fined 2,000 yuan. She was released on April 11, 2022.
