(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuying’s Home Ransacked
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Arrested
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Jianguo Arrested
5. [Dongkou County, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Xiaolan’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate
6. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Zirong, and Ms. Zhang Guangjie Sentenced to Prison
7. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Xiujuan Detained

1. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Yuzhen Develops Severe Medical Condition in Custody

Mr. Zhang Yuzhen, 72, was arrested on November 25, 2025. While held in a detention center, he developed a heart condition and high blood pressure. He can no longer walk and must crawl everywhere.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Xiuying’s Home Ransacked

The police came to the home of Ms. Zhao Xiuying, in her 70s, on June 1, 2026, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her family did not open the door. The police returned at 6 a.m. the next day and confiscated her 16 Falun Gong books, several recent articles by the founder of Falun Gong, and three audio players.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Arrested

Ms. Wang Chunyan was arrested in December 2025 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She has been held at the Yaojia Detention Center since.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Jianguo Arrested

Mr. Li Jianguo, about 60, was arrested between June 9 and 11, 2026.

5. [Dongkou County, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Xiaolan’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Yang Xiaolan, 63, was arrested in June 2026 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is facing indictment by the Dongkou County Procuratorate.

6. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Zirong and Ms. Zhang Guangjie Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Fan Zirong, in her 70s, and Ms. Zhang Guangjie, in her 60s, were arrested on September 23, 2023, after being reported for distributing Falun Gong materials. Ms. Fan was sentenced to two years in prison, and Ms. Zhang to three years in prison. Both were admitted to the Hubei Province Women’s Prison. Ms. Fan was released in September 2025, and Ms. Zhang is scheduled to be released in September 2026.

7. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Xiujuan Detained

After being detained for 15 days, Ms. Guo Xiujuan was released on July 2, 2026.
