(Minghui.org) Mayor Jon Nehring of Marysville issued a proclamation declaring May 13, 2026, World Falun Dafa Day in the city. He also recognized Falun Dafa’s positive impact to the community.

The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa is a peaceful self-improvement practice rooted in traditional Chinese culture that consists of five gentle exercises including meditation, and moral teachings centered on the values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance; and

“Falun Dafa was first introduced to the public in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi, and has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to improving health in mind, body and spirit, and to enhance the well-being of people from all walks of society who follow its tenets; and

“Falun Dafa has helped millions improve their health and moral standards as well as deepen their understanding of life, the universe and virtuous ways of being through the practice of Falun Dafa; and

“Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant and more compassionate society; and

“Falun Dafa practitioner's participate in Marysville's Strawberry Festival and Grand Parade, sharing the practice with the local community, giving residents the opportunity to learn and come to know more about this free meditation practice that is open to the public.”
