(Minghui.org) “The atmosphere is peaceful and calm. Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are beautiful principles. It’s something everyone should really take to heart,” said college student Benjamin as he observed the World Falun Dafa Day celebration in Munich.

Many people paused to talk with practitioners. Some said they were interested in learning the practice and asked about online instructions and in-person practice sites. Some started to learn the exercises that day, while others signed the petition after learning about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Practitioners spoke to several Chinese students and tourists.

College Student: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Are Beautiful”

After college student Benjamin and his friend spoke with a practitioner, they learned the fifth exercise. Benjamin said he felt refreshed afterward.

“Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are beautiful principles,” he said.

After they heard that Falun Dafa has been persecuted in China for 17 years, both of them signed the petition. Benjamin said, “That is terrible. We don’t want persecution. We want freedom, freedom for Falun Dafa.”

People Condemn the Persecution

Martin spoke with a practitioner for long time and learned about the practice, the persecution, and World Falun Dafa Day.

Martin said, “I find it really interesting. Especially the gentleman who just spoke to me—he seemed very nice, very open. That’s why I was more than willing to get involved. I think it’s a good cause.”

Talking about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, he said, “Actually, they’re really good. I’m currently in the process of learning to be more present in the here and now, to practice more self-compassion, and to listen more to myself and my heart. So I find all these approaches to be excellent.”

After learning about the persecution, Martin said, “It is truly terrible that anything is forbidden at all. I mean, generally speaking, everyone should be free to hold their own opinions—to think and say whatever they wish. One should hold on to the beautiful things in life.”

After he signed the petition, he said “I think this initiative is very meaningful and very good. Because, ideally, there shouldn’t be any organ trafficking in the world at all. It is a truly terrible thing; that is why I was happy to sign.”

The Atmosphere Is Calm

After Nordhard Nagel, a taxi driver, signed the petition, he said he had heard about the CCP’s persecution on the media and had seen practitioners’ events in the past.

Nordhard said he felt the atmosphere of the event was “very beautiful. There is something harmonious here, right in the middle of the city—because everywhere it is so hectic. This is a nice counterbalance.”

He said he thought Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance “actually align with Christianity and Buddhism. They are universal and let one find inner peace.”
